Very sturdy!
I honestly wasn’t expecting much from this grill grate. I haven’t used it yet, as it just arrived today, but man is this thing sturdy! The pivot point where it folds is held together with standard bolts and nuts, not some cheap rivets. The legs are solid one piece steel bar. The pen in the photos is for size reference. It’s highly unlikely, but if the legs ever got bent or damaged, it would be easy to replace them. I’ve used grill grates a lot in my life and this is one of the most heavy duty ones I’ve ever seen. It’s not as large as some, but more than ample for cooking for up to four people, I’d say. You won’t be disappointed in this grate! Update! Now that I’ve used this, I can say it works perfectly for my needs! Easy to cook for 4 people, holds up very well sitting over fire and coals for long periods, the griddle side is great for cooking fish, and it’s super easy to clean! Wipe down with soap, spray off, pack up. Simple, durable, and effective! The only way you could damage this is if you ran it over with your vehicle. After cleaning, I dry it off and wipe it down with a little olive oil before storing it in the bag.

Very well made
***UPDATE*** So we had this thing out on the trail in the back of the jeep for 10 nights. I love it. It is sturdy. It's easy to season and to clean. I've fried bacon on it, grilled sandwiches, ribs, pork chops, heated pulled pork, grilled asparagus, mushrooms, and squash. Plus pots, pans and kettles with soup, beans, sauces, coffee and hot chocolate. It sets up well even if the site isn't level. The legs don't adjust in height, but you can wedge them into a fire ring at almost any angle and this thing'll stand. I'm impressed. Let's see how long it lasts. *** So i just got this, and haven't taken it out to use it yet. I'll update this review as time goes on. But immediate impressions are it's well made, fairly heavy duty, and the right size and guage of steel and construction to make it sturdy and durable while still keeping it relatively light weight and easily portable. I don't think many people would want to hike with this in their pack all day, but overlanding or car camping, etc, this looks prefect. Plus the moderately thick fabric bag so you don't get whatever carbon you didn't clean off on anything else in the vehicle. The real thing will be how well it seasons up (especially the griddle section) and cooks, and how it handles being heated and cooled repeatedly, over time.
