Can this wok be used using high heat for stir fry, or is "slow cooking" using medium/low heat recommended?

This wok is especially great for high heat. I am a professional personal chef and I'm also Chinese. Authentic stir-frying requires a very hot pan and carbon steel will give you that. You don't have to worry about damaging any kind of chemical coating as with non-stick pans (or leaching toxins into your food) because there is no chemical coating. Just make sure you follow the directions and season your wok properly; it will be naturally non-stick for years.
