It worked for me.
I was pleasantly surprised that this worked immediately. I've been avoiding fruits except the "low sugar" blueberries for years, but recently even the blueberries started giving me troubles. With Fructaid I had no troubles with blueberries or bananas so next on my shopping lies will be apples.

Occasion treat, worth it
It definitely works for my fructose malabsorption. Maybe mine is more sensitive than others, because 4 pills isn't enough for a serving of something sweet and sugary. I need way more than 4 pills to avoid stomach issues or gas after eating a treat. I like my coffee with a lot of sugar every morning and that alone takes 4. so I can easily go through one bottle in like one week. Which makes this VERY expensive for me. :( Hard for me to afford to enjoy food. This could definitely be cheaper. At the same time, it's totally worth it if you only indulge on occasion because IT WORKS!

A big help with fructose intolerance
This has been very helpful in avoiding symptoms of my fructose intolerance. It does take some time and experimenting to determine how much needs to be taken for various foods. Itโs also important to take it a few minutes before eating a meal. Itโs a bit expensive, but worth the money for those who suffer like I do!

Works for Fructose (fruits and Vegetables) within reason
It works for fructose. Iโm a continuous buyer. I use a different product for onions and garlic along with reducing the amount I eat.

maybe it's just my glitchy postmenopausal digestive tract, BUT...
After eating high-fruit smoothies for several years, my stools became liquidy. I thought maybe I'd developed fructose malabsorption again (though I didn't have any other possible symptoms). Not wanting to pay the higher price of the other supplement on the market for the issue, I decided to try Fructaid. I took a total of two pills, one for one pint jar of smoothie in the afternoon, another for my first pint jar the next morning. Shortly after taking it and hours later, I felt like I had a hiatal hernia - tight diaphragm that made it hard to breathe due to all the gas, even pain in my chest (probably from irritated vagus nerve, which can happen with a lot of gas). I suspected I might be throwing $40 away if I tried this. Turns out, unfortunately, I was right. Though my postmenopausal system has a tendency to rebel against anything new I put in it, apparently Fructaid contains ingredient that can cause stomach issues in sensitive people. WTF? Does no one have a brain anymore??!! One more thing before I go: if your main symptom is a lot of burping as you're eating and right after, plus you feel really full after eating not very much, it may not be fructose malabsorption, but low stomach acid. In which case, you need betaine hydrochloride, not Fructaid.

Can finally veer off the diet
I have a severe fructose malabsorption. I am surprised how well this works.

IBS, FODMAP, Fructose Malabsorption
If you have IBS, have to avoid FODMAPs and or have fructose malabsorption, glucose isomerase (Fructaid) may help. Doctors really don't have an accurate way to diagnose any of this stuff, but if you have extreme gastric distress after eating FODMAPs or fructose you probably have some of these problems. There are enzymes that let me eat most of the FODMAPs (Fodzyme works best for me), but Fructans, one of the most common FODMAPs are broken down into fructose. Turns out I have fructose malabsorption, so the FODMAP enzymes only get 1/2 the job done. So fructans break down into fructose and now I need another enzyme to break down the fructose. There are several brands of glucose/xylose isomerases on the market designed to break down fructose. If they work for you, then welcome to sweet, sweet sugar heaven. For me, FODMAPs and fructose cause urgent, painful, explosive diarrhea. By first using Fodzyme to handle the FODMAPs and then Fructaid and other glucose/xylose isomerases to handle the resulting fructose I can freely eat garlic, onions and a tiny, tiny bit of low-frutose fruit (5 strawberries) with no gastric pain. This is with a double dose and taking the pills out of the capsules to get faster digestion. Any more fructose and things get ugly fast. My dream of eating an entire pint of Haagen Dazs with suffering extreme gut pain is still out of reach. So I rate this 3-stars for effectiveness because of my cursed genetics. For some people, this is going to work great and they will be allowed through the gates of sugar heaven. If you know that you have problems with FODMAPs, but FODMAP restriction isn't working well, you may also have fructose malabsorption. For me, Fructaid is enough to finish the digestive process left unfinished by FODMAP enzymes. But it's not enough to enjoy sugar in any meaningful amount.

maybe it works?
tried it as some other sibo bb sufferer recommended it; idk if it really works or due to my biofilm buster too, but its relieved my bb by some so I'll continue and see. but one less star because its hella expensive... if it was perhaps 10% cheaper I'd be less hesitant on repurchasing!!!
