As far as we recall there is no difference - it has the same connection as what was there.

Does pausing the water flow maintain the temperature?

NO it only pauses the water flow, it's the same as shutting OFF the Hot Water Valve... However there is a diverter unit called the AQUA VIEW WATERMISER and to be plain ( I "DO NOT" have a Watermiser ) and I have never used one but I did investigate and consider purchasing one... Over the past couple of years I have seen VERY FEW new Campers being sold with this type of unit installed... But you can purchase one and install it yourself or have someone install it for you... Hope this helps..!!

How can I get a replacement part? The little piece that is supposed to cover the screw is missing.
