How long does it sleep and isn’t it hard to make it sleep?

Virtually non existent sleep. I’m decent with a yo-yo and even after lubricant and modding it was trash. Look at magic yo-yo or yo-yo factory for good cheap starter yo-yos. Shoot even a Duncan butterfly or butterfly xt

Difference between this and the fireball?

They are both transaxles, but the Fireball has a plastic journal bearing, whereas the Raider has a tiny metal bearing. Personally I like the appearance of the fireball better, but that’s subjective. The raider is a tad louder than the fireball. The raider sleeps faster and longer. Raider bearings fit on the fireball, so technically you can have the best of both worlds- a fireball with raider performance.

Do I have to mod it to loop? Or did they change it to be a looper out of the box?

Mine was fine out of the box. I think they updated the spacers on the bearing to improve responsiveness. I have used it with the original string and Magicyoyo replacement strings. I did make the miatake of using thin lube on the bearing. This made it unreponsive. But once I cleaned the bearing and lubed it properly it works just fine.
