I now consider this an essential Tesla accessory. While my iPhone pairs with my Model 3, and is semi reliable in opening the door from my left back pocket, there are simply too many times the car doesn't respond. I have to take out my phone and wake the screen. Then there are the times in in the driver's seat and the car wants me to touch my Tesla card to the center console. Suffice it to say the ceramic ring looks gorgeous and is always easily available on my right ring finger, perfect for unlocking driver door and using left hand for mechanism. The icing on the cake is approximating the ring under the lip of the console armrest to dispel pesky 'Touch Keycard' messages! Love it.Note: when you see people complain the ring doesn't work or stops working, they don't understand the technique, expecting instantaneous unlock. Rest bent knuckles on door pillar and pause 1 or 2 seconds. Bam. Mirrors rotate out and door unlocks reliably. Take a breath and relax. It works and you'll grow to really appreciate it.

This ring key works great! I surf and this allows me to keep my key on me while in the water. The key card was too big to fit in the pocket of my wetsuit. This is the best alternative key option I could find. The ring also works well to unlock the car. I have not had difficulty with it not unlocking the car as some other reviewers have stated. I find it works best if I take the ring off and touch it to the key card receiver area, but it also unlocks the car if on my finger and I make a half-clenched fist while touching the door frame. The ring also looks nice, if very hard and highly scratch resistant.

Bought this ring to use with my '21 MYLR, as a backup to my phone and card key. The size (diameter & width) are right on, it looks unblemished after a month's 24x7 wear & tear, and it does a good job as an RFID fob. Note that I do have to remove the ring from my finger and hold it against the car's B pillar for the car's near field sensor to detect it: just holding my (size 12) ringed finger against the sensor only works 1 in 15 times on average (Yes, I counted). Other than that it is a fine product which I'm glad I bought and would buy again.

Ring did not work at all. So disappointed. A waste of money. 😭 I was so excited to get it. I hate to give it even one star.

Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn’t. It only works when I take off the ring and place it on the door pillar. Kind of defeats the purpose of wearing It. Just so you guys can be aware

The ring is great, but you should only use it as a backup. That’s because sometimes it will take several tries to be able to hit just the right spot. So you might end up standing there next to your car reto to open the door. So far, it always works, but it mostly will take several attempts. I knew that upfront and I think this is due to Tesla, not the ring.

Purchased for my husband who is easily frustrated by technology. Took a few attempts to set up (once we identified the most helpful YouTube video). Like any technology it doesn’t always work on the first pass but it mostly does and he enjoys the ease of use and the “cool” factor. He finds it very comfortable and good looking.

I love the look and feel (form and fit) of this ring. Unfortunately the function lacks. It’s challenging at times to unlock the car and use it as a key to drive. Bottom line, I cannot make it work without taking the ring off and that is an inconvenience. However, and to be fair, I don’t have anything similar to compare it to so its hard to make an absolute value judgment call; but if I had to purchase another one I may try another brand.
