Great value, includes useful accessories.
Good brand name reputation and included those usefull little things like a check weight and poder pan. Accurate and easy to use. Price is right, as well. I haven't used a balance-beam scale yet, but digital seems the way to go, as long as the accuracy is right there.

Theoretically so far so good.
I purchased this scale for shot shell reloading. I tested this digital scale against my beam scale and against my Lee Load All 2 powder bushings (after calculating conversion to grains). I had a correct three-way reconciliation between them with 3 random charges I pulled out using Winchester AA Super Handi Cap. So far so good.As an added bonus I used my powder measure to drop some charges and used it for testing also. Everything looks good.Because of the primer shortage, I haven’t actually been able to reload any shot, sadly.Upon unboxing, the plastic that covers the scale and scale face, was warped and I have to pry it off each time. Not liking that since any additional pressure can throw the scale off. Might return the scale because of that cheap plastic component. My only other gripe is what seems to be electromagnetic interference I get between my small shop light on my bench and the digital scale. What happens is I turn off the Lyman digital scale and set it on my bench to store it away. If my light is on, the scale turns on by itself and spews out jumbled letters or random fluctuating numbers. If my light is off, the scale does not turn on. I tested this by turning the light on and off and viewing the scale. Every cycle to “on” position on the light, the scale cycles on and off.I’m not sure if this is due to the scale’s sensitivity to the electromagnetism from the light or it’s wires or if there is another issue. It should be low level low frequency so I’m not too concerned. Just didn’t realize the scale housing was that thin and would allow interference of that nature to skew the results.Overall I’ve had a good experience with the scale, though I haven’t been able to test using real shot shell reloading, the scale has been on the ball.I’ll be testing the scale again now since I found out about the electromagnetic interference. I’ll also be testing the scale against other RF interferences with the HAM and CB radios at different frequencies. For the time being, I’ll be leaving a 4 start review.

works well for measuring Blackhorn Powder!

An excellent scale
I have used one of these for years with absolutely no problems. I bought it again as a backup, just in case. Set up and calibration are easy if you follow the directions that are NOT in chinese.

Accurate. Easy to use.
I use this to measure out supplements, so far primarily for my dogs. So much easier than how I had been measuring previously, by mixing with a filler in order to get an amount that could be measured with spoons. Is easy to use, I check accuracy every single time I use it, which is daily, and I'm very happy with it. Wish I had found this a year ago when I was treating one of my dogs for a cancer (she's doing very well, survived & is heathy again, yay!). I recommend this small scale.

Great scale for the money.
Scale is easy to use and a great compact size.

Nice compact easy to use scale
If you do a ton of reloading than maybe you’d want something a bit bigger than this compact size unit. I bought it only just to measure loads of powder for muzzleloader. Lyman obviously makes quality stuff and this unit is no exception.
