I’ve read many reviews prior to purchasing it and all the positive reviews were spot on. Setup was super easy and it worked like a charm. Hot water delivery was very quick and that was with the longer hoses. I plan to shorten them so I’m expected even quicker to no delay in hot water delivery. Glad I made the purchase. Had a question and customer service was really quick to respond and helpful. I felt like they treated me on a personal level and not just another customer.

So far I have been very happy with the customer service, product quality and design, it looks perfect for my needs. Water heats up very quickly and uses minimal propane. I have it setup on my shower on the back of my van and it has made a world of difference being able to take hot showers now matter the weather!

Once we dialed in the settings for pressure and water temperature it was amazing! We just left it set at that and used the on/off at that the handle when we went to shower. It was always perfect. Best money spent on an outdoor shower.

Initially, this outdoor shower unit was amazing. I used this product in the Sierra Nevada foothills of Northern California this past fall and was extremely grateful, living off grid as I do, to have the ability to take a hot shower after a long day of working on my property. However, after about a month into using it, I noticed a bulge in the shower hose developing. The bulge grew bigger and bigger, until the hose burst. Not a big deal. I replaced the hose with another sturdier hose and thought nothing of it. Then, last week, with the first freeze, the handle burst down its seam. Again, no big deal, as I had a spare. So I replaced it and figured I was good... till I went to fire it up later that day and water started spewing out everywhere, starting from inside the unit. The water extinguished the propane and shut the unit down. I took the unit apart and assessed the damage. A brass water manifold inside had split in two places. I tried liquid weld, but that only lasted for one more shower, before the manifold cracked again. I ordered another brand and hopefully it lasts longer than this one did. Personal edit update: This company actually reached out to me, apologized for the inconvenience and sent me another unit, which in this day and age, frankly, suprised the hell out of me. The replacement machine seems to be working (though the shower handle did split down the middle on the third use which was frustrating, but fixable using another handle that i happened to have.) but time and use will tell. So a bump up and extra star added for excellent customer service. Thank you 1/6/25: Outside of the water nozzle issue previously mentioned, this unit has continued to do well and I am very pleased with its utility and ease of function.

Love this product as it’s my 3rd one . Sadly like the 2 before had to be modified and there are loose parts inside . The drain plug was so short that when I went to tighten I loosened instead and spent the next 2 hours trying to get it out . I had to dismantle screws and try to take the thing apart . I could hear other parts rolling around inside as well . I used the darn thing once and it was not as hot as I had my last one . I’m so mad ! Plus dirty and scratched ip and not sure of the thing will work at all! Why can’t products be made well ??????

I just received this item and have only used it once. I’m also not one to leave reviews unless I have an extremely positive or negative experience. This thing is great. My mom recently fell and broke her ankle. All of my parents’ showers are upstairs. So I needed a quick solution for an outdoor shower for her. I saw some negative reviews and some dissing on YouTube. So I was very skeptical. So far, I’m extremely impressed. First of all, the assembly is super easy. I do recommend getting the cart for the propane tank and hanging the shower box if you don’t have a way to mount it. The low stand used for the Pro and Max would not work for the basic version. (The cart could use some design improvements). But the functionality is excellent and simple. The water gets very warm - too hot on the highest setting - and water pressure from hose line is very strong. Very happy with this purchase so far.

Game Changer! We recently went on a 4,800+-mile road-and-camping trip. This water heater lets us take showers wherever we camp (we also have a 30-gallon water bladder). It will get the water HOTTTTT! But I recommend doing a dry run at home first. This was kind of a last-minute order for us, and I had to scramble to get everything I needed to connect the pump to the water bladder. You will also need two D-cell batteries.

Awesome water heater. I used this to replace an old ecotemp l5 i had in my shower in a small camper(its directly under the vent fan in bathroom, so no exhaust issues). If anyone is going to hook this up to well water, I highly recommend a small inline strainer like a sureflo. I didnt have one on the ecotemp this replaced, so i dont fault the failure to ecotemp, it was plugged up with rust. I do wish this had the little defector on top like the ecotemp, but nothing i couldnt make with some heavy aluminum flashing I had laying around. I do wish it had a switch on the bottom to turn off burner so i can get straight cold water when i need it for cleaning tye bathroom. A couple weeks after using it, once, I had a ignition failure. It would ignite and immediately go out. Did this multiple times. I shut off the propane tank and disconnected the hose from tank. Reconnected and no more problems since. I love the battery compartment on this heater vs the one i had. Can replaces batteries without moving heater. I do wish it came with mounting tabs like the other one, but i made do with the handle on the top. I didnt use the shower hose that came with it as i have a 10' ss hose that i like. I can reach the kitchen sink to wash dishes with it. I do like the showerhead though, especially the on off valve built in. Heater has excellent temperature and flow control, even when my well which is set at 90 psi kicks on and off. Quality seems to be on par with the l5 it replaced. As i was replacing an existing portable w.h., i didnt use any of the supplied fittings, although they seem to be of good quality. This is my first camplux product, and had I not already purchased a large ecotemp for my cabin build, i would go with them for that too.

Further to my earlier 5 Star rating....I've had the unit for just under two years and in that time I've had 2 issues that I raised with the seller. Their response has been absolutely fantastic and way beyond what one would expect given the passing of time. Each of my issues has been fully resolved with no hint of reluctance or blame shifting by them and just a genuine desire to sort the problems. I would absolutely endorse the 5 stars all over again and if there were more stars they would get them. Have only just got around to fixing up the shower after leaving it in the garage for months following a house move. Took me about a half hour to sort out the pipework, connect the gas and then run wonderful warm water. The only issue I had was worrying about over tightening the gas connection (mentioned in the instructions) but after enduring 2 leaks I took matters into my own hand and tightened it right down. (so that the inner pipe in the connecting bolt was unable to move). Absolutely brilliant bit of kit and hopefully my grubby Labradors will be less likely to bolt than when the hosepipe was brought out to wash them down. If I was still into camping I would definitely have taken this with me as the waterflow and temperature are so easily controllable.

I'm happy with the product, good quality and it was easy to hook up and use. The only disappointment for me is that it doesn't heat the water very hot. I don't know if that is because I'm using well water and now (near winter) my well water is ice cold so maybe I need to give it more time to get hotter. Regardless, I'm very happy with the product and for the purpose I want to use it, having the water only slightly warm is perfect. I use it to wash my dogs feet before letting them entering the house. It will also be great to use to wash the dogs in the spring.
