J.L. Childress Spinner Wheelie Deluxe Car Seat Travel Bag - Car Seat Carrier ...

This is a really solid car seat carrier great for the professional traveler. All of our luggage is spinners, so this car seat bag was the perfect option for us. The height works really well with the Large Tumi; you can attach the Tumi hook and pull the carrier alongside your luggage with one hand! The fabric is a pretty thick canvas material. It is not padded, which was a concern to me at first, but then after using the carrier I don't know what value padding would provide as the car seat itself was quite padded. The zipper seems a little flimsy relative to the rest of the question, but it held up for the first trip. We have the Nuna Pipa car seat. We traveled with the car seat and the base. It fits, but you do have to tilt the assembly 10-15 degrees to get it to fit and zip up correctly. Not a big deal, it was pretty easy to adjust. There are no shoulder carriers or back pack straps, not that they are needed. The bag rolls smoothly and seamlessly through the airport. You can also toss a few extra diapers or other accessories in the car seat bag before you check it in. Overall, this was perfect for us. A little pricier that some options, but comparable price wise to anything from UppaBaby and almost half the cost of the Nuna bag. Plus this is the only car seat bag with spinners, which is a huge plus in my bag.

I own both this bag and the Simple Being Car Seat Travel Bag that is $75 less. See attached picture to compare. First, I will say 100% you should get a car seat bag with 4 wheels. I started with a bag without wheels and it's a huge pain trying to physically carry your car seat along with luggage and a child. Get something with 4 wheels and justify the price by stuffing it with as much extra luggage as you can (airlines check these for free). Second, I'd recommend spending the extra $75 on this J.L. Childress Deluxe. As you can see from the pictures, this bag is bigger, it stands up by itself, it is WAY more durable and overall it rolls better. If you only want to spend $50, this Simple Being bag will get the job done, but it doesn't stand up by itself, it doesn't roll well, it's not as durable and the straps get caught in the wheels. Traveling with little kids is already hard enough, spend the extra money to make it easier by getting this bag.

We have to fly with our toddler when we move out-of-state next month. We have the Britax One4Life carseat and bought the Britax traveling car seat cover. Unfortunately, even though their seat cover says it fits all models, the One4Life does NOT fit into their own cover. After some research, I could NOT verify that ANY seat cover would fit but decided to take a chance on this one because of its wheels. We’re going to have a lot of luggage to check on this flight and will need the wheels that this JL Childress seat cover offers. I did read some reviews that claimed the One4Life would NOT fit but ordered it anyway thinking that we could have it altered by a seamstress or an upholsterer if it didn’t work out-of-the-box. Much to my surprise, this JL Childress fits like it’s made for it! Just make sure you position the seat in its full upright position before placing it in the cover. The cover is padded and seams well-made but I do wish the zipper itself was a bit more robust. It seems a little dainty for the big job it has to do. The wheels are what made me try this one and they do work but they don’t work as well as my luggage spinners. Regardless, it’s worth it to me to have the wheels even if they don’t glide as smoothly as I had hoped. Being able to push or pull this to baggage check will be a lifesaver for us. Happy with my purchase, I just hope that the zipper and wheels hold up.

We took our preschooler on his first flight and it's an amazing tool to have. I originally thought of buying a simple backpack one or another with only 2 wheels for cheaper. However, after looking at those reviews this seemed the better bet in terms of durability and mobility. My husband and I were already going to carry our own bookbags as well as an extra carry-on of food and his travel toys so the 4 wheels were clutch. It made for a smooth ride as we preferred to gate check the seat. We have a Graco Forever 4 in one and to make it fit all you have to do is slide the head rest all the way down. An even bigger plus is you can stuff the inside for no extra charge. We put all the diapers, wipes, a blanket, and even his travel tray inside. It saves the weight of your luggage! It made the roundtrip with no breaks or tears. Completely worth it. Although, I did use points to make it more cost effective. :)

I had high expectations for this item. At this price point I expected this to last a while. We just had our first trip and this bag did not survive. I’m not sure if it was the bag or the bag handlers but the zipper and one of the wheels completely broke off. Very disappointing.

I was going back and forth trying to see if we really need this for our trip and I’m soo so happy I bought this! Took it for my babe’s first flight and it’s so easy to roll around. I got a couple moms and dads asking me what brand it is. It fits our graco 4-in-1 perfectly with a ton of room for a small pack of diapers and wipes and even some of her fave toys as extra luggage space. Even the guy that did the gate check appreciates this. He said it was easy to maneuver and the handle helps. It stores almost flat and will definitely be bringing this with us on all trips!

Ugh. I really really don’t know how to rate this. First off, I recognize & understand that NOTHING is safe from damage when traveling by air. I don’t know what the baggage handlers do down there, but most of my luggage only lasts 1-3 flights before it is junk- so I don’t know why I expected differently for this?? First let me start by saying my daughter has a Graco Extend2Fit. She is 41 inches so it is set decently tall, and it was a STRUGGLE to get the car seat to fit and zip it shut. 10/10 do NOT recommend waiting until 5am the morning of your flight to test this out. Learn from my mistakes- seriously! Additionally- you have to take the car seat out of the bag at security, so we had to go through the whole “you pull these two sections together and I will wrench on this zipper like hell to try to get it shut” twice. Not fun. Once you do have it zipped shut though (assuming your car seat fits), rolling around the airport with it was an absolute breeze. It rolls beautifully, the swivel wheels make it easy to turn and navigate. I do wish it had an extendable handle, but just a minor inconvenience. We gate checked the car seat, so honestly I don’t even know HOW it sustained the damage it did, but on its very first flight it got a rip in the material. Not enough to make me worry about the safety of my daughters car seat (in that regard I do feel like this is a quality car seat bag- it did feel very protected, and since it’s in there so snug I don’t think there was any jostling around or anything), but enough to be frustrated since this thing cost a small fortune, in my opinion. After we landed & discovered the rip, I tried taking it up with Delta but they considered it “normal wear & tear” and I was SOL. So like I said: I really don’t know how to write this review. Did it do its job? Yes. Did it survive ONE flight without being damaged? No. Is that the products fault? I don’t know. Is it worth the hefty price tag? Meh. I don’t know about that either.

I was a little nervous about the price, but now I understand that it was well worth it. While I'm with the stroller and baby, my husband can wheel all of our luggage together (sometimes 3 pieces) with ease. All of our luggage have the 4 wheels and now this can be rolled right next to them without worrying about a thing. As a new mom, I didn't know the rules around carseat check. With my son being 10 months, he was too big to be in the carseat that clicks into the stroller and I was keeping him on my lap, so I didn't need to lug the carseat to the gate, so I found out that you can check the carseat for free. I had absolutely no idea, so we were able to check the carseat in this bag completely for free and the bag was able to protect the carseat the whole way. Also, as a helpful hint, they never unzipped the bag, so we were even able to throw in another big inside...shh. It held his food (baby plastic jar food) and diapers (stuff that we were okay to be bumped around a little. Definitely recommend buying this one the first time around, instead of buying something cheaper first and then just buying this when it's too hard to use the other one.

The zippers broke in 2 places before we even got on our first flight. Couldn't use on our return flight due to the damages.

We use it for a joie steadi R129. It's easy to fit in the car seat and take it out quickly.
