Good Night Owl

I love purchasing used books through Amazon because they are affordable, so we can own our favourites without having to check them out, at our library, over and over and over again (because, that’s what we have to do with our favourite books).This, particular, book is just so much cuteness! My 3 kids (10, 8, & 6yo) ALL love this little nugget of book treasure! It’s LOL funny, and Greg Pizzoli is a fantastic children’s book author.

We read stories at nights at home to our 5 year old. He loves this one. It’s also an easy book to start helping them read. It’s now part of our bedtime stories. Great choice. Also suggested by the school.

When I say my mouth was literally hanging open in amazement, I'm using literally correctly. I am a huge Greg Pizzoli fan, it's true, but this is a masterpiece unlike anything he's done so far. Every detail, every word, every bit of storytelling is a study in picture book genius. There are visual references to everything from Arnold Lobel to Alfred Hitchcock, and maybe to Jean-Paul Sartre and The Twilight Zone.Greg Pizzoli seems to always be challenging himself to do more, to produce different books, and he never compromises one bit, not in wording, not in illustrations, not in ink colors, not in endpapers.You could write a college paper based solely on the case cover of this thing.Librarians and teachers: this book is going to be such a hit. This book is a read-aloud like no other. It works beautifully for a child sitting on a parent's lap, but where it really shines is read loudly and enthusiastically before large crowds. I can't wait to do that, personally.Most importantly, because it's not about boring old grownup me: kids will love this book. They will adore it with full hearts. It will make them feel smarter and funnier and more clever. It will make them smile, and every single kid I read it to (ok, that would be my own four kids) had a different favorite part, which I think speaks so much to this book. There's something for everyone to love.

You can't go wrong with this book. It's a fun story, well written. Received the Theodor Seuss Geisel award in 2017. Kids will be in on the "problem" from the start and will love it!

Cute story. Great illustrations too. Wish the boklok jacket image was also on the book. My 3yr old always takes the jackets off so it's disappointing when the same image isn't on the actual book.

I haven't read a children's book like this; It's amusing. I laughed and wondered what I just read, but in a good way. Cute.

Beautifully illustrated, expertly printed, completely entertaining. Greg Pizzoli is a staple in our household.

Wonderfully simple and delightful. Find the mouse on each page! Bought it as a gift for a "little friend". I met Greg Pizzoli at an SCBWI conference and am in awe of his process. A wonderful addition to the bookshelf!

Two year old is in love with this silly book. She calls it the angry owl book. So cute and fun. A great bedtime book.
