Hi, yes you can! It requires 2 LR44 batteries which are included in the package.

Does this come with spare batteries? It says it does but I can’t find any

I did not find any spare batteries. The ones I purchased at Walmart didn’t cure my poor dead fish

It comes with 1 fish, but 3 or 4 could easily swim around the tank together.
