Once we figured out how much rice and fillings to put into the tube, the extracted roll was beautiful! Solid and compact. The difficulty was how much to put into the tube. Our first 2 attempts didn't have enough filling, and the plunger couldn't move the food down the tube. Our next try had too much in the tube & it squeezed out along the sides. The locking pieces worked fine, but we had trouble keeping the 2 hooks together (opposite side of the locks). It took 2 of us to hold the tube together & 1 to push the plunger. It was fun trying & we will keep practicing.

I've been making sushi with mats for years, but this is really awesome. My hands don't get sticky, which means I don't have to keep getting them wet, which means that I don't change the consistency of the rice. My sushi always comes out perfect with this. When I want to make inside out rolls, I still need the mat. TIP: under-cook your sushi rice by 2 minutes. My sushi rice says 25minutes, but 23 is perfect.

I was skeptical of this product, but my daughter is a huge sushi lover! I got this for her for Valentine's Day! hahaha! It is amazing! Really good product! It doesn't come with much instruction, but it isn't hard to figure out at all. I have recommended this to others! Pardon the funny pic, we were quite amazed. If my 10 year old can do this, anyone can!

The thing itself, the build is flimsy and not sturdy like cheaply made. On the other hand, after getting the hang of it after a couple rolls, i really like this gadget as it helps a beginning sushi chef get the hang of it....I did follow some of the reviews and used a olive oil spray so things wouldn't stick. I wish the quality of the thing was a bit better, but other then that, it makes a pretty good sushi roll.

Does what it’s supposed to. Instructions are in Chinese and French. Took a few google searches to figure out how to use it. And it’s awkward to get it together. I wish it was hinged instead of 2 pieces that you have to put together. Other than that, it was fine and made nice huge rolls. I’d actually really like one that made smaller rolls as well.

I bought this for my daughter who loves sushi. She also loves to try and cook new things. She couldn't wait to try it. It was easy to use. She can now make sushi at home instead of having to go to a restaurant. Your only limited by your imagination. You now can have several different kinds of sushi right in your own home.

It is quite easy to use this product, I just do not know why the clamps were loosened, you have to use a considerable quantity of rice, so that the roll is well compacted. It is very practical for those of us who are newbies. I recommend leaving the rolls in the refrigerator for a few minutes so they can be compacted a bit more before cutting.

This thing is amazing. prior to this, i hand rolled sushi using bamboo mats etc. i've found that the quality of the rolls from this are comparible enough that for the price and ease of use - its a no brainer.Google some recipes for those in your house who are not seafood fans - you'll be surprised what you can make to get the whole family interested.
