I received beautiful, black, rich-bodied dried Mulato Chiles with slight pliability and a taste reminiscent of raisins with just a hint of chocolate. It took very little time to heat them up in the pan until they were shiny and very pliable. I put them in hot water for 20 minutes to soak in order to make a wonderful tasting paste that worked wonders for my molé chili. Excellent. Fresh tasting. Best value for my money, in my opinion. Thank you for some of the best tasting dried Mulato peppers I've ever used in my Mexican recipes.

Very fresh

Delicious and exactly what I was looking for. The richness, flavor profile (slight heat, slight sweet and complex) were what I needed to complete my homemade chili powder. They were a tiny bit drier than other chilis I’m used to using, but for grinding they were perfect.

Great quality. I used these to make mole & the flavor profile that it adds is very authentic to the stuff you get in Mexico. Highly recommend

Perfectly sized package!

I could not buy mulato chilis locally so resorted to online ordering. These mulato chilis were shipped quickly and were of very good quality - still mostly soft and fairly uniform in size, unlike the brittle packaged chilis that I usually find in local stores. I used them to make a time & ingredient intensive dark Oaxacan mole (using mulato, ancho & negro chilis). It was superb! I would purchase again from this seller.

Chiles are very dry and stale not the type of freshness I expect when purchasing a dried chile. The chiles are not at all pliable like they have been sitting on a shelf for a long time.
