Dollhouse Big Girls' Belted Trench Rain Coat with Detachable Hood

I bought this coat in a size 10 for my petite 8 year old daughter. I figured that I would get a couple of years out of this coat, but it fits her perfectly. It's a cute coat and it feels like it's made somewhat well, but it is not a rain coat. The fabric that it's made out of has a satiny smooth feel that absorbs the water and the hood is a flimsy piece of jersey material that is held on by 4 buttons, so the hood is constantly falling off. This jacket is fine as a hood-less light jacket/windbreaker, but it is definitely not a rain coat.

This jacket is beautiful and my granddaughter LOVES IT but it was a full size too small. I returned it and got the next size up, she's very happy with it. Be aware though that the detachable is not the same color as the jacket and it isn't waterproof. It is a light fleece and gray in color. Having said that, she didn't care because she loves the jacket!

I love the stile and color is amazing. There is just one problem with the hood. Rags hood gets wet after couple minutes. I wish a hood from the rain coat would be made from the same material like the all coat. Also the hood was attached by buttons that don't work well, it's often disattached by itself.

Nice coat but the hood was disappointing. It was more for a sweatshirt than a rain coat and not at all waterproof; the rest of the coat seems to do OK. Also ran small. My daughter loves it though and there isn't much else available in her size (10-12)

Too bad, the first time my daughter put it on, a button came off. Checked the other buttons and determined they all needed to be resewed. Also found the buttons holes for the hood are way too big so the hood comes right off. My daughter brought it home complaining that it won't stay on. Have to remedy that as well. Hood is also a simple sweatshirt hood, not made to protact from rain. Other than that, it's cute and fashionable.

I read that the hat was not water proof on this coat. What I did not know was that the hat does not MATCH the coat. Come on guys, really?? A gray hat for a pink cheetah print coat??

My only complaint is that the hood is just thin cotton jersey - I wish it was the same material as the jacket. We unbuttoned it and have left it off as it is neither warm nor water-resistant.

This is a well fitting, attractive coat. However, it is not waterproof in any way, shape or form. Also, the hood falls off as soon as you put it on.
