I am new to soapmaking just to get that out there. I purchased this Moroccan Red Clay Powder to add a redish color to my soap. I found this on Amazon and decided to give it a try since I know nothing about colorants in soapmaking. I noticed that the moroccan red clay powder added a lovely bright brown/red color to the soap. I also had another french pink clay powder as well. And geranium essential oil. Which is supposed to bring the soap to trace quickly. I cant say which or maybe all of these clays/essential oils brought my soap to clay so quickly. Maybe they all contributed. But it worked out rather well anyway in the finished product. This moroccan red clay powder is very strong colour in soaps. Thats the only thing I can write a review on as thats the only way I use it. The weight of the product is pretty much right on and the weight on the scale you see in my picture is with two teaspoons taken out. One thing I have to mention is that I noticed today in the shower that it does run. One of my pictures shows the color on the towel. Im not sure if it is because the soap is not cured yet. I always get impatient/excited when I make a new soap to see if it is any good. But the moroccan clay did run. Maybe this is because it isnt cured. Im hoping this is the reason. Although the pink clay powder did not run. This arrived before it was scheduled and if this stops running Im happy with the product.

Perfect for making soaps and scrubs

I am so glad that I discovered this brand on Amazon. I love creating my own mask by mixing with a little argan oil and some water. The mask gives a clear complexion. The clay does stain and should not be put on the face for longer than 10-15 minutes otherwise it’s harder to remove and you can risk the chance of looking like an umpa lumpa from Willie Wonka. Would highly recommend this product or any other from this store.
