desertcart.com: Big Science for Little People: 52 Activities to Help You & Your Child Discover the Wonders of Science (An Official Geek Mama Guide): 9781611803501: Brunelle, Lynn: Books Review: A easy to read and use guide to fun science projects for kids - The author has written for Bill Nyeโs science shows and several other outlets, and has a strong ability for writing science explanations that are easy to understand and presented in an accessible tone that would allow adults to feel confident about presenting the information. Step-by-step instructions are clear and simple, and the โtake it furtherโ sections offer variations and extensions to increase the learning. Includes a helpful list of supplies and science tools. The book is geared toward making science activities with your child seem do-able to parents. The book is divided into two sections, for "at home" and outside, but I didn't think the categories were that helpful, as the at home included lots of messy projects, and the outdoors section included zero mess activities that were only there because they were loud. Downsides: There are no photographs, and although some experiments have helpful illustrations, many have none, or a few have misleading illustrations. But overall, very likeable book! Review: GET IT! - LOVE LOVE LOVE! If your a SAHM this is something new and exciting to do with the kiddos SUPER DUPER easy and fun! You probably have a lot of these things laying around the house nothing super complex by any means

A remarkable โfirstโ science book, written by an author who really knows her audience!
Carefully written, clearly laid out, and the experiments are sure to intrigue a range of ages. My 3 1/2 yr old grandnephew and I tried the Exploding Lunch Bag and the Tornado In a Bottle, with excellent results. Well done!!

Good.
The book in itself is very small, letters are a bit small and a tad difficult to read. Other than that I think is a great book and I like the way the activities were presented and explained. I would recommend buying it.

We love it
We have a few books of this same genre and this is by far the one we reach for the most. It's simple, nicely organized, and is perfect for use with my 5-year old (but would be good for older children, too.)

Made a great gift for my almost 5 year old nephew. I plan on getting one for myself once my 3 year old gets a little older!
