SO happy I ordered this! We've gone through two cheaper units similar to this using it as a night light for our son and both failed at the power source. I'm anxious to try this out tonight with my son to see his reaction. Let me also say that this is NOT a hologram projection. The inserts are hard plastic with etched lines. In a dark room and from a distance they do appear as a rugged 3D image. We are more interested in the light itself. The remote adds many more features than just the base unit button control such as:*The ability to actually DIM the LED lights. So nice.*The ability to activate 4 preset blinking/phasing programs. Nice Variety!*The ability to set automatic turn off (this is especially important when using as a night light!). 1,2,4,8,12,or 24hr increments are used.*Of course, the ability to switch colors and change the speed of the blinking/phasingAdditional things I liked about this:*Comes with its own base adapter for the USB cord and can also take batteries!*The control button on the base does not depress but is very responsive to touch. The base only changes the color and turns the unit on/off so you REALLY need the remote. This may be a deal breaker for some people, but the perks you get for using it I believe outweigh the need to keep the remote safe.*Having TWO inserts instead of just one is great! The base is wider than other units we've purchased in the past, however the inserts will still lock into place in this base and work perfectly.Shipping:Though the box was a little damaged on one of the corners upon receipt, nothing appears to be damaged to the inserts or the base unit and control. The outside was neatly packaged, so I'm not sure if it got sent out that way or if it happened during shipping. Again, it was just the outside box of the product, so I wasn't too concerned. The shipping time was insane! I ordered this item YESTERDAY at 8am and I received it at 1pm TODAY. It's literally the fastest I've ever received anything from an Amazon ordered item!Overall:It may be a little early to hail this product as one of the best night lights ever, but with the remote it's for sure one of the most versatile and customizable units I've purchased. It's worth the cost even if all inserts don't technically pass for "3D".

This product is great quality, I am very pleased with it! I previously purchased a different brand and returned it out of quality disappointment and a very short cord. This one has so many more options for only a few dollars more. Deciding on this one was a great move!

My suggestion to all those considering this item would be to have already ordered several, as my guess is that these will sell out as Christmas gifts! The quality is evident even with the packaging, a caring touch even before the electric fun starts :) The personal responses from this company have been uncharacteristic in business lately, and very welcomed. An engaging 'WOW' product to have give!

The display is nothing like the the pictures. It really isn't a 3D projection. It also takes some odd battery that isn't mentioned in the ad. Very disappointed.

my grandson, who play both guitars really loves this 3 D lamp with both guitars in it. it also has the remote with hourly features, brightness control & slow motion or jump motion. great present for anyone. our grandson is 19.

Gifted this to my nephew who likes cars and has his room full of lights. This was the perfect fit and he absolutely loved it!

My grandson liked it but you actually have to change the plate to get the different picture

Bought this for my husband's baseball/pool room and he loves it. The only problem is that the remote doesn't work, so it's on constant one color.
