The LED bulbs are the size of the incandescent bulbs. They are like the CFL bulbs but round and give off more light plus they are at the maximum brightness right away and I think the light is more pleasing. The CFL bulbs needs to warm up to get bright. The CFL bulbs I have are still working after 2 years so I figure the LED will last a long time to. The incandescent bulbs are 1760 lumens but were in the 2,700k range so were more yellow. The 5,000k below will be like high noon like the CFL bulbs I have but the LED bulbs have a more pleasing light. I use a splitter in my floor lamps so I have 2, 100 watt equivalent bulbs using just 28 watts. Very little heat. I can touch the bulbs and not get burned.Best thing is they use 14 watts of power vs 23 watts for the CFL vs 100 watts for incandescent bulbs.

These bulbs work very well for my kitchen. I have tried a few companies that had high lumens, however, nothing satisfied me. My kitchen has a dark appearance , as a result, of the paint which has a beige color, and does not let the light reflect against the wall. Therefore, I bought the xprimo 14 watt bulbs that were 16oo lumens, however even though they were the brightest from most bulbs, they were still not bright enough as the room still felt dark. After, I bought these 17 watt bulbs which are very big in size. The kitchen is now bright enough to use with comfort, and I can see what I am doing there. I would prefer a brighter bulb, however, that is just me and they are very expensive, plus, I already spent a nice amount of money on the 14 and 17 watters. It is very important to know, (both for the 14 watt bulb and the 17 watt bulb) that the bulbs get as hot as incandescent bulbs and you can burn your finger if you touch the aluminum part of the bulb. The plastic doesn't get hot, but it is easy to, by mistake, touch the aluminum part, so be careful.

These bulbs are surprisingly heavy, but I have little experience with LED bulbs so that might just be the norm. I'm very happy with them. I installed them in outdoor lighting fixtures on the front of our house to replace the burnt out traditional bulbs. They're extremely bright. They're a very true white, no blue (I purchased the "daylight" set). They come on immediately and shine bright illuminating my driveway throughout the night. I plan to order more when I need to replace the lights by the front door. I'm not sure I'd want such an insanely bright white for an indoor lamp, but for outside lights these are perfect.In my photo, these are the 4 lower lights. The flood light at the top of the picture is a regular bulb.

I want and need bright light in my house. Have used 150 watt incandescent bulb in the lamp next to my chair. I was happy with the light it provided, although it did put out a lot of heat. They also did not last very long and cost $1.50 each. So I checked for the brightest LED bulb I could find. I am very happy with these and they are supposed to last for years. I am 76...they might outlive me! Works for me! Now I have them in three of the lamps that I use the most and I gave one to a friend. I will gladly do business with this seller again as needed.

I have macular degeneration, so I wanted bright lighting in all rooms of my apartment. I have bought several (4) packs of four of these. At least one would burn out in each pack in a couple of days, and another would burn out in a couple of months. That leaves you with 2 good ones. I will pick another brand the next time and suggest you do the same.

Purchased in March 2017, 3 bulbs bad already

Good - These things are as bright as any other light I have tried. Excellent color and brightness, 1600 lumens is about 125 watts. I have used these in my closet, and it made a world of difference in that room.Caution - They are expensive. I have around 30 lights in my house and would love to replace them all with these, but that would cost a ton.Conclusion - Best led bulbs I have found. Much brighter and better tint makes it much easier to see than the typical "100w equivalent" led bulbs with cooler tints.

The base of the bulb still gets very hot but when I plugged this in, it was super bright. I used another bulb in a lamp with no shade & I needed to find my sun glasses.I am a lover of warm or soft white but when it comes down to taking pictures inside or working in the garage, then I want these daylight bulbs.I had a 150 watt heat lamp style bulb & this bulb puts that to shame.
