GREAT SERIES!
I have enjoyed reading all of her books and hated to see this series end. The fact that the novels take place in a small town in England is just icing on the cake!

A fab ending to a great series!
I'm sorry this is the last book in this great series, but a fab ending.Jill and Max, set the date for their wedding at last, after years of trying to get a ring on her finger, the time never being right in Jill's eyes. Well laid plans and all that.......a young girl goes missing, Jill goes missing Max is frantic and worried sick when he get a message from Jill to say she needs time to think. Coinciding with the escape of a murderer who Jill and Max caught and got convicted in the previous book. This is a spine chilling nail biting heart stopping psychological read that's impossible to put down. There's so many twists and turns, false leads characters you want to slap, characters you want to hug and humour that makes you giggle. Its a jaw dropping moment when all is revealed, and the reason behind the mayhem that's happened becomes clear. This is clever story telling, and I look forward to hopefully, in the not to distant future a new series from Shirley. If you haven't read this series....you should if your a crime novel fan.

series - Max and Jill
I'm really enjoying this series. I like the characters and the relationships they have. The setting is a small village in England. Max is a Police Detective, Jill is a Forensic Psychologist. The serial murderer from the previous book escapes from jail - and wants to get back at Jill

Glad they're back!
I often look on fantastic fiction to see if Shirley had written any more books and was delighted when I found this one. Love these two, independent Jill and loveable Max.At long last they are due to walk up the aisle but as usual crime takes over and the wedding is postponed.I did wonder how Jill would survive, with all the odd bods living in such a small town. I must admit I was surprised at who the true criminal was, but I did enjoy the book. I hope there is another one on the way.
