Edited review: Original ( 3 stars) : I got this for a gift for my dad's birthday. I was kinda disappointed in it. The magnet was in weird places and it struggled to stand up properly. The pen tip was also below average for how expensive this is. Its a novelty toy at best. I wouldn't waste your money on it if I were you New: Costumer service reached out to me and sent me a new pen. The magnets were a lot better in this one. it stood up properly and you could actually spin it. I am happy with how this one writes. Perhaps that last one was just a fluke.

Makes for a very nice gift for a student or anyone interested in magnetic phenomenon. The recipients of this pen have said that it writes very well, and it is fun to manipulate. I will be giving this hover pen to more people as gifts in the near future.
