Will the Real Brad Please Stand Up?
Well, what can you say about this book? The reviews are certainly polarized, eh?For starters, the current version is vastly different from the version that was released initially in October, 2014. It is available, BTW, for free in PDF format, on the author's website. What's different about the latest version vs. the original? Among other things, in the original, the writer of the foreword, Brad Degraw, emphatically states via a "spoiler alert," that there is "nothing to buy," and from Degraw's slick copy, one might be led to believe this book was released strictly altruistically (but that would be naive). However, the latest incarnation is blatantly selling something: Brad Degraw's private label course. And the foreword has been edited from its previous incarnation, since it is now clearly selling his course. This in and of itself isn't bad, I suppose, if you want to pay a premium to be spoon-fed the information that is freely/cheaply available from excellent sources such as Eli Gordon and Scott Voelker. However, if you've followed this book from it's inception to now, as I have, you can't help but notice a few red flags:Red Flag #1: Shortly after the first edition was released, and after signing up for the author's email list, one of his emails was signed BRADLEY Sullivan. You would think an author would get his name right! Could it be that Brad Degraw and Bradford Sullivan are one in the same?Red Flag #2: The author's website is BradfordSullivan with .com after it. A Whois search that anyone can perform, reveals that the registrant of this website is Donald Mikrut (as of the date of this review). A quick web search shows that Mr. Mikrut has a very checkered past, involving fraud and numerous other infractions. (And, don't be surprised if the registrant suddenly changes, or is made anonymous after this review is posted). If the company you keep defines you, well, what can be said about Bradford Sullivan, Brad Degraw, and those they're affiliated with? And really, couldn't Bradford Sullivan (if he truly exists) register his own website under the name, well...Bradford Sullivan, instead of Donald Mikrut? Maybe Bradford Sullivan is a convenient alias and/or hybrid of Degraw/Mikrut? That would sure make it easy to market your own products to the unsuspecting masses, wouldn't it?Red Flag #3: The author mentions a book ("The Amazing TPM Wealth Formula"), which is now out of print. It appears "The Amazing TPM Wealth Formula" was authored by none other than Donald Mikrut. Donald Mikrut is very involved with Bradford Sullivan's book! Don't you wonder why?Red Flag #4: As previously mentioned, earlier editions of the book are ostensibly not selling anything. However, earlier editions seem to have been designed to build an affiliate marketing mailing list for the high-priced "Amazing Selling Machine" private label course released by Matt Clark and Jason Katzenback. The author states this is the course that motivated him to change from an arbitrage model to a private label model. This was before his supposed mentor, Brad Degraw, had released his private label course, recently made available. Suddenly, the book's content has changed, and is now strongly touting Brad Degraw's private label course. Here are a couple of quotes from the book:"If you do not have strong ethics (a “moral compass” as my friend and teacher Brad DeGraw likes to say) in how you do business, I recommend you not start an Amazon business, or any other business for that matter.""I’m all about helping you build an ethical, long-term business..."Given the points made above, the veracity of those statements is in question. Finally, Brad Degraw regularly states that his training teaches things other courses don't, and the "nearest competitor" charges $5,000.00. This is deceiving and downright untrue, as you can obtain the Proven Amazon Course for $299.00, which includes both Tom Freeman and Brett Bartlett's private label courses. To his credit, Degraw is the only one currently teaching sourcing private label products domestically, vs. using overseas suppliers, but his big secret for finding domestic suppliers, is using the databases "InfoUSA" or "ReferenceUSA" which are often available at many public libraries for free. It's hardly worth paying Degraw $799.00 (the current price of his course as of this review) for that and a few other tips.It appears this book is merely a lead generator for Degraw's sales funnel, so you can purchase his myriad other products, which include:Coaching/ConsultingListing optimizationProduct launchesPrivate Mastermind GroupsVirtual Assistant Selection and HiringSeminarsAll of these have high price tags. Is Degraw making more money selling all of these adjunct services, than practicing what he preaches? Incidentally, you really don't need him for any of these things. You can start your own mastermind group, or join an existing one. You can look at top-selling products and reverse engineer them to write your own effective product listings. There is very little, if anything that Degraw can teach you about virtual assistants, that people like Chris Ducker and John Jonas haven't already covered better. In fact, Degraw liberally borrows from them and other sources, such as the Tropical MBA Podcast (without attribution), and recommends Jonas' site for recruiting Filipino talent. Why not cut out the middleman, and go straight to the source? One can't help but wonder who we're dealing with here: Donald Mikrut? Brad Degraw? Bradford Sullivan? Bradley Sullivan? Will the real Brad please stand up?

Gave me food for thought, and then an appetite for more. A good read.
After searching quite a while for a way to replace my income and not really liking too much of what I saw, I came across this book.I hadn't previously considered Amazon as much of an option. I am an Australian, and Amazon's services to Australia are pretty limited. I had never bought much more than books and e-books since I started using Amazon some time around 1998, so while I vaguely knew of the range of products offered by Amazon, I had never really dug deep enough to break the surface. This book really made me take a long hard look at Amazon as a potentially very profitable enterprise. For a beginner like me, the book was perfect. Bradford uses broad brush strokes, with finer details as required, to paint a portrait of a cash cow.Additionally Amazon itself seems to be an ethically robust organisation. Of course they are in it for the money as well but they seem to take a great amount of pride in being able to deliver an exceptional customer experience. Rather than having the customer as an almost invisible entity that doesn't really exist other than to keep the wheels turning, Amazon places the customer at the top of the pyramid and understands that without the customer there wouldn't be a business. A simple enough idea, but as a major corporation Amazon seem to understand that better than most. While this is maybe not an all exhaustive "How To" manual, there are plenty of lessons to learn about this marketplace, and it encouraged me to start learning more about the possible profits to be made here. The book is logically written, flows well and provides a solid framework around which to build a business plan. Examples are explained clearly, and the strategy is simple enough in principle to follow easily.Since I read the book I've done a fair bit of research. I've watched videos, webinars, read other books and websites. One of the much more expensive training courses I looked at pretty much followed the same line as taken in this book. For less than a dollar you can have the method that people are paying plenty more money for. And if you don't like the book, you can dig around under your sofa to get a dollar back. You might even find more, and make a profit that way. So you can't really lose.As mentioned in other reviews, the numbers are all thrown out there as case studies to illustrate that it can be entirely possible to make $1000 per day. Even selling only one product. A lot of that may have something to do with luck. But then again, I believe we make our own luck through hard work and focus. The author has provided personal support for me by email, and answered my questions in lots of detail. His newsletters are also full of useful information. This guy enjoys what he does and really wants to share what he has learnt in the process. This book may not be the answer for everyone. But it definitely sounded good to me, and I'm going to give it a try. The book gave me an appetite to learn more. I'll see how it all comes together.

If Big Money Excites You and you want to understand the potential with FBA, you will like this book...
In defense of the author (whom I don't know or have any personal connection with) I found the criticisms of this book were unfair and ignorant.I liked this book a lot and t did what it said it was created to do. The author states he wrote it for his family and friends to get them motivated to get into importing through Amazon FBA program after he had experienced some astonishing success himself. If you are a number cruncher like me, the work has been done here for you and numbers are exciting because they are the only thing that really matter when it comes to making money. I REALLY LIKED THIS BOOK. This is something I would do myself, figure the potential of the market and opportunity plugging away at various price points and determining ROI. DON'T WORRY IT DOES NOT READ LIKE A FINANCIAL REPORT AT ALL. It is easy, fun reading. What you won't find are specifics on how to do it, if you want to learn this in depth, you will have to go elsewhere..it is not a training guide and was not written to be, as the author states in the very beginning, he is upfront so I don't know why he should have any negative reviews.I found it very helpful and it did get me excited and it saved me time doing the math myself. I have read it several times.VERY INSPIRING! It really got me jazzed up and yes he used best case scenarios, but they all do. When you hear about weight loss products or diets they will tell that the results were not typical. Yet, this book is not pie in the sky - there are some people selling on Amazon and KILLING IT! HUGE MONEY! The author delivered on exactly what he promised - this will get you excited, if you allow yourself to believe, have confidence and dream a little.I am going to share a few copies with friends whom I have in mind to go into business with me.

Very simple book to read that really packs a punch. Not complicated, just straight answers to the questions that arise from looking at an online business with Amazon.
