TALON GRIPS for Springfield XD-S 9mm/.48

I purchased this item because the stippling on the XDs is very aggressive and prolonged shooting wore out my hands. I was a little concerned the application of this product to the firearm would be tricky in getting everything lined up properly. Although it took me a few attempts to get the alignment correct, it wasn't too difficult and probably took around 10 minutes total. I had some extra material bubble up on the back strap, but after using a hair dryer (to add heat) the grip smoothed out well. All said and done, I'm really impressed with Talon and would purchase their products again.

I don't usually do reviews, but I felt the need to do this one. I'm impressed and I'm not easily impressed. I was not really wanting to put anything sticky on my XDS, but with really no options for the XDS grips (besides Pachmayr... horrible reviews) I decided to try. I did look at the Hogue handall jr, but I wanted an exact fit and didn't want to modify. These Talon Grips are great! I'm horrible about putting on decals and lining everything up right and was so surprised how easy the process was to put these on my XDS. The grips are pre-cut and super simple to line up. Directions are straight forward. I cannot comment on their durability yet as I have not went to the range with them on yet. If they hold up well, I will be buying Talon Grips again. Fantastic feel. I went with the rubberized grip rather than the sandpaper. I didn't dislike the feel of the stock grip on my XDS but was always curious about the Talon. Polymer grips can be a little slick. The Talon has made me feel more in control and confident in my grip than I ever have before. Install was quick and easy. Make sure to follow instructions. The fit was perfect. Some of my friends also have polymer grip guns and everyone of them bought a Talon grip after shooting my XDS at the range.

Best Fitted Grips Ever. I put these grips on my XDm and my XDs. These grips are wonderful and amazing. Fit perfect on both handguns. I used rubbing alcohol to clean the grips thoroughly. Then heated the grips and the talon grips with a hair dryer, applied the grips, reheated with a hairdryer and worked the grips until they were form fitted. These grips hold up great and are really comfortable when shooting. Would definitely recommend to anyone. Just make sure the grips are cleaned thoroughly before applying the Talon Grips.

Absolutely love the product, the part that really pi**es me off is UPS. The tracking said my package had been delivered, I went outside and couldn't find it anywhere. I started to go through the process of contacting UPS and Amazon to ask WTF. During that time ,my 12 yo daughter went outside to bring the garbage cans in from the end of the driveway. Well, she found something! Thrown out in the snow at the edge of our driveway, between two junipers, was a garbage bag. My daughter almost threw it away, but luckily she brought it in to ask if she should. Yup, it was my Talon grip, tossed in the snow with zero F's given. Our driveway was plowed and fully accessible but the driver said,"F it, its 3:58 PM and I'm done." Not impressed

I’m very pleased with the talon grip for my XDS .45. The grip gives me that extra grip I need to really get a hold of this pistol. The instillation for this product was very simple and fast. The instructions were very easy to understand plus there are many YouTube videos on how to install the grip. I have not gotten a chance to carry this around day to day but I will up date when I have to speak on the grips durability.

I like the ease in which this fits around the grips of my XDS, after the application and use of my heat gun for a few minutes to completely meld into the grips these grips give my pistol a solid and comfortable feel. So far I am very impressed. More so after doing some presentation drills using both an inside the waistband holster and an ankle holster the grips are firmly in place and the grip is solid and firm!
