Excellent Well Written Financial Advice
I thoroughly enjoyed the book. Paris writes in such an engaging and relatable way. Her financial advice is amazing and her real life stories highlight her expertise and wisdom. I have put her financial strategies into practice and I will recommend her book to others. Fantastic read.

Down to earth and practical book, excellent for young women.
I loved the practicality and honesty of the book. It seems this is a must have for young women who need to be reminded or see new ways of living a life in financial freedom and independence. Great practical examples too.

More than financial freedom…
The first thing I’ll say is that Paris Woods is great at making potentially difficult information easy to understand. Many people may feel their eyes glaze over when they hear words related to finance or debt or investing. Yet this book was engaging. She uses examples from her own experiences to show how someone can get into debt and how to get out. In sharing examples, she proves that the journey of financial freedom isn’t a ‘one size fits all’. She also shares useful resources for the methods she used. But I think the best thing about this guide is that she shares actual tips/techniques without judgement.I look forward to implementing a few of these strategies and living a life of freedom.

Very educational! Very well written:)
I learned so much about the American educational resources available to citizens.Very helpful, even though I am Canadian 👌😊It was very well written and educational...more Black students should read this in high school...start preparing for College/University early.Knowledge is power...only if you use it!

Practical, Moving, Purposeful
I chose 5 stars because of how practically the advice can be applied. I would probably do 4.5 if I could simply because the approach of debt elimination honestly is challenging for me and maybe that is a personal problem. I think it is a great suggestion but maybe not as easy to do at first as the book suggests. Paris makes it clear she had to cut and work to do so, but even so it is a hefty primary suggestion. However as you read the rest of the book I begin to understand her reasoning for doing so. So full circle read I suppose. I like how quick the read is which allows readers to work and apply and not spend all their time inside of the book— though reading is important of course. I recommend this book to everyone especially Black women and girls obviously. Information like this is less practically given to marginalized communities like ours. However this valuable information should be readily available to everyone. Especially young people about to begin their financial journeys for the first time ever. Awesome job, Ms.Woods. Thank you for challenging and inspiring.

Good read starts off slow
Great read with lots of detailed information. It starts off slow but became more and more relatable throughout the read. Once you get past the halfway point the financial information is very useful and helpful.
