How to Be Good at English Language Arts: The Simplest-ever Visual Guide

This book is so great for Homeschoolers. I highly recommend it, as well as How to be good at Math and How to be good at Science, technology, and Engineering. They are so well done. They are packed with information. I also recommend this book and the others in the series for review work with your children. This series is an asset to any public or private school parent as well. You can held your children to always stay on track and to fully understand lessons being taught at school.

Perfect for my kids. They love bright colors and information presented in this way. Also a bonus, it explains pronouns and explains people can choose their own, and we should respect those. A plus for our family, who believe in respect, and letting people be who they are!

I also bought the How to Be Good at Math book, and this book is just as useful. The reason for 4 stars is that there’s no mention of the part of speech: interjection (not in the glossary or index). I plan to do a quick fix by writing some info about it on a separate piece of paper and tape it on the inside cover.

It's exceptionally well-structured and written, covering a comprehensive range of topics. I highly recommend it to elementary aged kids as a good introductory and reference.

I use it to help me with our homeschooling along side our main curriculum. It also great for me brush up on my grammer skills.

The good: The authors include colorful illustrations and simple breakdowns of concepts to make components of the English language understandable to children. The bad: The authors could not resist injecting completely unnecessary "respecting personal pronouns" snippets. Please, stop vomiting personal politics and opinions into educational materials. Very disappointing.

Not happy that they added gender issues in this book. In the pronoun area it teaches to accept people's pronouns eg. More than just he and she.. im against such crazy ideas. There are 2 genders. Anyway this shouldnt be in an English educational book so I sent it back.

Great book. And arrived in an amazing condition

Their Math book has a workbook for it so when I went to purchase the English workbook to go along with this book I was surprised to see it say that they hope to have one in 2025. There is no sense publishing this book without a workbook so I was a little let down that I spent the money only to find out there is no workbook for a long time to come, when I am needing the book to work with now. This book is good though - just needs to have a workbook come out with it at the same time, not years later.

Awesome book for Grade3 to Grade 5 students if got within Rs 600.
