Red and black wires coming from volume pot. Where do they get connected?

They go to the input jack. Your pickup gets soldered to the middle prong of the vol. pot and the neg goes to the volume pot back.

Where do I solder the pickup wire on the switch?

The hot wire for each pickup is to be soldered to the outer poles on the switch. The neck pickup wire to the forward throw position and the bridge p.u. wire to the rear throw position pole. These switches are not built well, so if you can, test the switch before soldering and installing. I have had two bad switches which I had to un-install.

Are the potentiometers audio taper?

The volume and tone pots increase when turned up and decrease when turned down. I hope that helps answer you're question.

Can you disconnect the switch and use on a Les Paul jr?

Switch could be disconnected or just leave it hidden in the electrical cavity.

Easy to install

Swapped the electronics in an old fender Jagmaster...these were a perfect fit in the guitar body with extra room to fit it all in. I did have to widen the pick up holes in the stock pick guard by 1/8”, but it was pretty easy with a Dremel tool.

It's okay for a cheap build.

I liked it came prewired. I appreciate the fact they took the time to do it. Including a schematic for a noob like me would be nice. You can find them on Google. I really disliked the welds. They were super flimsy and barely held on. I redid all of them because they were so bad. So in actuality, I still soldered it all myself anyways. Remember, you get what you pay for. 14 bucks really isn't much, but just don't weld it if you're going to do a crap job please!
