This thermometer worked perfectly for checking the temperature of a turkey while deep frying. The display is easy to switch between degrees F & C, the metal probe is 8” long and the thermometer comes with an AAA battery- no button batteries. But the most important thing for me was to check the temperature accuracy. Before using the thermometer, I checked what it read when the probe was resting in a kettle of boiling water. Water boils at 100 degrees C. The thermometer read 100.5 C, but the tip of the metal probe was resting on the bottom of the kettle, so I figure that’s where the extra 0.5 C came from. Good enough. When the deepest part of the turkey breast and thigh read at or above 165 degrees F, I pulled the turkey out of the oil and we found the turkey to be cooked perfectly at dinner time. I would highly recommend this thermometer because it’s accurate, easy to use, easy to change the battery (battery door has a sturdy locking tab so no tiny screwdriver is necessary), easy the clean the probe. Mine probably won’t get frequent use outside of deep frying turkey or cooking larger pieces of meat, so I removed the battery before placing everything back in the box for the next use.

I use this for dyeing and for checking wash bath temperatures when I'm washing sheep fleece (if you let the water get too cool the grease re-deposits on the fleece). It works perfectly! I had been using an old analog thermometer and wasn't really confident in it's readings so happy to get one that is easier to read and more accurate.

Works wonderfully in my 12qt pot it is perfect and it also works in my 20qt pot when I am making a large batch of jam. The 10" shaft is perfect for the 12qt but kind of short in the 20qt pot it has a very clear display and the light touch spot on the top is amazing 🤩 you can just bump it and the backlight comes on. It is very fast on the fluctuations in the jam making process. I highly recommend this if you need a nice instant read thermometer

I love this thermometer! It is accurate, easy to read and use. The ONLY issue I have is the pot clip. The way the clip holds the thermometer, it has it close to the side of the pot which does not give a "average, reliable" temperature of the contents in the pot. Typically, the contents of the pot are "cooler" around the outer edge, and "hotter" in the center. This clip doesn't allow for angling of the thermometer towards the middle area around the contents of the pot. I've used it for frying foods, and candy making too. And for hard candy making it is important to have a pretty accurate "average" temperature. I hope TempPro fixes the clip from having one hole in the clip to various holes to accommodate this issue. Outside of that issue, it's an excellent product!

This is fabulous!!! I will recommend this to all my friends. I have made some English Toffee and it turned out wonderful, it was spot on with the temperature. Easy to use, and it was clipped on the pan tight. I love this. I will be making more candy, and I am going to tell everyone about this item. Thank you for a great product!

I needed a thermometer for heating water in my Chemex Chettle: this one works great after trying a number of other types. The clip is tight enough on the Chettle’s curved rim for the unit to remain upright. So far, it works fine with no effects from the steam. The adjustable tilt-head is an excellent feature as well as the “tap” sensor for the back-light. Note: the probe is 8”, not 10” as noted in the manufacturer’s on-line descriptions indicating both lengths.

Product arrived intact as in good condition. Temperature readings are accurate and verified with a mercury thermometer. Quality appears good, I wish the mounting clip didn't fall off so easily. It vanished within 2-3 days of use. The size is perfect for deep cookpots, commercial cooking. The functionality is as advertised.

We LOVE the big display! It easily clips onto the side of your pot and that easy read display is, well..easy! Primarily, we use this thermometer when we process our chickens. The long shaft is great for getting deeper in the water when temperature a accuracy is crucial! Easy to ready display and easy to use, what more could you want?
