Of all the options around, I feel this the best to be found. Have used Coq10 for 20 plus years and heart is healthy as can be.

I was interested in trying out Co-Enzyme Q-10. I don't take statins, and I'm not convinced I really need this supplement as I am not a vegetarian or vegan, so I likely get a good amount of this antioxidant from food. But, my husband and I are nearing retirement age and are taking a new look at the supplements we may want to incorporate into our routine, and this seemed like a good candidate so I have been researching it. I initially thought the dosage of 800 mg (from two capsules/day) was a bit too high and thought we would just take one capsule per day, at least to start off with. I wanted more information regarding the manufacture of this supplement than was provided in the product description so I went to the Clear Formulas website, but I didn't really find anything about this particular product. This powdered form of Q-10 is apparently ubiquinone, but what is the basis for the 6% equivalency and how is the enzyme sourced or synthesized? Clear Formulas seems to be a well-regarded company representing many brands, a few of which I am familiar with. This supplement is from their own line of products, and I feel that the brand is not nearly transparent enough. The product description states that this supplement is made in the USA in an FDA-inspected, CGMP facility. It also states that their products are lab tested. But the type of testing is not specified, nor is there a mention of whether the testing is done in-house or through an independent third party + I don't see any links to the results. The current price of $26.00 does seem quite reasonable for 200 capsules (a 100 day supply).
