Heavy yet softly comfortable
Much heavier than I expected and larger than a Japanese double bed but comfortable. It took me time to adjust to it -- about a month but eventually I did and I cannot imagine going back to my former solid futon.

This topper has been absolutely life-changing!
We ordered the Tempur-Pedic Adapt with Cooling 3" topper through Amazon Prime, and it arrived in less than a day, which already felt like a win. It came in a surprisingly small box, wasn’t overly heavy, and was very easy to carry and place on the bed. When we first opened it, I’ll admit we were a little nervous. It was rolled up, lumpy, and looked thin, and we wondered if we had made a mistake. But within about an hour, it miraculously expanded, smoothing out completely, and it continued to get even thicker as the night went on. By bedtime, it was fully formed and fit our mattress perfectly. Sleeping on it is like sleeping on a cloud, the most embracing, nourishing hug. It completely relieves pressure points and gently cradles your body without feeling unstable or too soft. Our Tempurpedic Delux Breeze mattress underneath, although extremely high quality and sturdy, was simply too firm, and we were waking up with neck and back pain every morning. This topper completely resolved that issue. It is beyond heavenly. Truly pure perfection. If your mattress is too firm but otherwise high quality, this is the solution. We honestly wish we had gotten it sooner. The difference is night and day. 5 out of 5 stars. Highly recommend. You cannot go wrong. There are great sales every so often. We'd recommend jumping at the opportunity when one of those sales hits.
