Does anyone use these for BJJ? Any complaints from training partners?

What is the smallest head circumference this is recommended for? My son is right at 21 inches so trying to decided on youth size or this one.

My son has a normal to large head. I measured it today at 23 3/4". Given the amount of velcro on the straps, 21" would fit. It's just a matter of adjusting all the straps to get the best fit. I looked everywhere and couldn't find a sizing guide for their headgear, but here's the one for every other thing they make http://www.cliffkeen.com/Catalog/Global.aspx?PageID=SizingInformation I'd call them direct for more info 1-800-992-0799. I called, but the office was closed. Good luck!

Do these have plastic on the outside of them or they all foam? Our team requires no plastic but looking for the best fit. Thanks

What covers the ears are foam.... The only "plastic" is the clear cups on the sides. My boys love theirs! Easy to fit, stays secure and the can still hear their coaches.

Is this machine washable?

Good morning, It is recommended to use Clorox wipes to clean your headgear. The straps could probably go in the washing machine, but it is not necessary. Let us know if you need anything else. Thanks!

Great piece of gear for BJJ & Wrestling

I've used this for years in BJJ and Wrestling, even MMA with striking and I will tell you it is well worth spending the money on this over buying cheap ones constantly. Spray it with disinfectant or use wipes after use. Great piece of gear for protecting from cauliflower.

Practico BJJ y me ha servido bastante, es muy cómodo y protege muy bien las orejas, igual los cordones son muy fáciles de ajustar. En cuanto a la talla, he probado el modelo youth y me quedó muy chico, éste me quedó perfecto. Las etiquetas con la marca en los costados se ven corrientes, pero es lo de menos.
