But other than that is a great camera.
Have had it for over a week now and I haven’t had any problems yet! I have it on all the time with the hard harness. Just be advise that when it gets to hot outside and the camera is very hot, you won’t be able to play with it. But other than that is a great camera.

Great addition to you vehicle and doesn't take an engineering degree to install
I've watched enough videos on YouTube to know dashcams can capture some pretty amazing footage, and be a real asset should you get in an accident or the victim of a crime. Installation is not complicated, but the instructions from LG can be a little confusing. Trying to comprehend the directions took almost as much time as the actual installation! There is a powercord that runs up to the main camera mounted to the front windshield, and I recommend routing and securing it along the side of the windshield so it doesn't restrict your view at all.The car has to be on for the camera to work, and it takes several seconds for the camera to come on after you start the car. Once on, everything is done automatically, and you don't have to remember to start or stop recording. The rear camera's view is displayed in a smaller window on the front camera's screen. I have it in a large SUV, and I appreciate the extra safety of being able to see directly behind my car before backing up.Other reviewers have mentioned the lack of battery backup, but for me it isn't that big of an issue. I don't really need to be recording if my car isn't on, so don't know what function a battery backup would provide. I do wish it had wifi streaming, but it isn't that hard to just physically pop the SD card out to download footage, should you need to. And since you only really need to download and store video should something happen, it becomes even less of a big deal.Overall I am happy with it and feel more secure with it, especially because of the rear camera.....we've all heard the horror stories.....just provides a bit more peace of mind.

780p, no battery backup, higher end pricing may send you to do more research on dash cams
The LG Innotek is a feature packed touchsreen dashcam with ta few tricks up it's sleeve that I wasn't expecting. Opening the box reveals the camera for the front windshield and the smaller one for the rear, the very long cord that attaches to the back camera and can be hidden to get to the front camera, the cigarette lighter power cord for the main camera, the wires needed if you decide to do a direct wiring and I Mirco and standard sd card. The directions have to be searched for on their website but they are there just be sure to click the support tab and search for this model. You will see this exact picture. You will also see a list on the right to download a viewer for mac and pc and a firmware update. The directions for the firmware update are on the PDF Manual but essentially say for us to download the Zip file onto the SD Card and the Camera will do the rest when it is turned on.Both the Power cord (and the cord that links the back cam to the front one) plug in at the top of the main camera and can pose some visual restriction if they aren't creatively taped out of the way.Set up is pretty intuitive, but nothing will happen until the car starts. Then after about ten seconds a voice lets you know that the recording is started. The back camera is displayed in a smaller square at the top right of the screen and is clear enough to see what's going on behind you. Though I don't think the purpose of the rear camera is to help with parking, I hope to use it that way.The main camera is completely touchscreen and very responsive. There don't seem to be a lot of choices available yet but they have already shown one firmware update, seems that there could easily be more. The camera is set up to record intervals that respond to shakes or disruptions to the car though it stays on the entire time the car is on, it will save only when there is a disruption and that allows it to go back 10 secs. That is my understanding of it anyway, as I become more familiar with it, I will report back. It can also record movement depending on your preferences.I don't like that it needs to have power to work. I would have thought that a battery backup would be available in case of power failure. I mean it would be nice to see how my car got dinged in the parking lot - but in all fairness, this isn't billed as an alarm system. And though I may be over stretching my desires, it would make sense that since the purpose of a webcam is for security, it should have some usability, albeit limited, when not connected to a power source. And that leaves me to think that the only purpose of the web came is if I have a head on collision or am rear ended, period. So that is my big issue. If you were on the road a lot, you would definitely benefit from having this camera on..Overall, it's a very easy way to offer video support for you and your moving or parked vehicle (as long as the motor is running.

Nice features, but missing the battery backup
Overall, I'm a fan of this dash cam, but there are a few things that could be better. The installation is documented as being "easy", but I personally didn't have an easy time of it. I attempted with the hardwire install kit, spent a sweaty hour or so under my dash, blew a fuse, and gave up. While I'm not an electrical engineer, I'm not completely helpless when it comes to this kind of stuff, but this install just became too much of a hassle. With a little creativity, I was able to get the standard cigarette lighter adapter installation done without much fuss. Also, the unit has no battery backup. This has been mentioned in other reviews, but it bears noting again - if you're getting a dash cam, make sure it's got a battery fallback. You'll definitely want that feature if you ever get in a wreck and need the footage.Having the dual cameras is really nice. You can switch the display from either front or rear, or a picture-in-picture. If you don't have a backup camera, this is one way to kill two birds with one stone, so to speak. I also just like knowing I've got footage of anything going on behind my vehicle as well.
