Replacement part made an expensive repair very affordable
Living in Florida (the lightening capital of the US) my Air Conditioner has has had several run/start capacitor fail over the years. Normally it's approximately $300 to have the AC repairman come out and install a new one. I decided to purchase a couple of these and keep them on the shelf. I just replaced one the other day on my 17 year old ac unit. I was able to change the capacitor in about 10 minutes minimizing the downtime in the Florida heat. There are just a fraction of the cost of a service call. MAKE SURE YOU KNOW HOW TO SAFELY DISCHARGE YOUR CAPACITOR BEFORE REMOVING AND TURN OFF ALL POWER TO THE AC BEFORE STARTING.

Saved me $277
I've got two fifteen year old AC units. These things go out on the average of once every two years, and if I call the AC company, they charge between $200-300, depending if it's a holiday weekend. Last time it happened, I looked it up on YouTube. Very easy to change myself. Kept one on hand. At 9 PM, my wife told me one of the AC units went out. As soon as it was light out, I went and changed the run capacitor and we had cold air again by 745 AM. Ordered another for next time!

not the same style as in the photo
I needed the taller thinner round capacitor in order to fit the mounting bracket of the old one - like what they have shownI, instead, received a short fat round one. The capacitor works, specs are the same, but I cannot mount it in position like the old one. It has to just sit on the lip of the cabinet.

Took forever together but worth the wait.
Worked great and priced right.

Worked perfect.
Fixed my 20 year old outside A/C unit. Worked like a charm. In 20 years this is the only part that has had to be replaced. This being the 2nd. time. Cheap fix after a google search on how to troubleshoot the problem. Less than a $20 fix rather than a $200 service call.
