I like them for what they're for... but the 'gun black' color is more like a metallic gunmetal with a slight silvery effect in the light .. and yes, it shines and is visible. I hoped the gun black color would blend more into my hair. I'm keeping them, they do the trick.

These are the best hair clips ever. I use to use the ones that clipped together. These are better in every way. They are a perfect size. Not too small ,not too big nor too bulky. I bought the brownish color and it blends perfectly with my, medium brown hair color. These hair clips are thin and don’t weigh much. hair. However, not so thin that they are flimsy and ineffective. You can use them if you want them to hold a small amount of hair or if you want them to hold a larger chunk of hair. They work well regardless of what you need. They are also very strong and durable. I have fine hair and have never been able to use any hair clips except for those that clipped closed. Unfortunately, most of those clips were often too heavy. I put them in when styling my hair, but soon after, they would end up sliding down and would not hold my hair in place. These are a game changed. Simple to use, open and close. They hold any amount of hair you want and stay in place. Even on hair that is difficult to hold. I know you will love them. Give them a try.

These clips are fantastic. I have very long and thick hair. These clips hold my hair up all day.

These were smaller than I had thought. But, I have very thin hair, and they do stay in, and hold the hair that they’re attached to. The only real negative is that they have an attachment at the tip that gets tangled in your hair at times. I also, wish they could make them in other styles. These remind me of salon clips. Not really cute, but useful.

I love this style of barrettes. My hair is ridiculously thin and stick-straight, and it’s a nightmare trying not to lose hair accessories because everything slides right out. But not these! I don’t know why the three prongs make a difference where others fail, but these are not going ANYWHERE. I can even sleep with one in my hair and wake up with it exactly where it was when I fell asleep. I’m a huge fan!

I just received these and was excited to get them. I was sadly disappointed when I opened them to discover that the did NOT have any grip dots on them. I specifically asked prior to purchasing these to confirm and was told, by the seller, that they did in fact have the grip dots on them. The description also states they have grip dots. MY hair is VERY fine and straight. These are nice and comfortable, but in the 15 minutes that I have been wearing one, all of my hair has fallen out of the clip. I'm hoping to exchange these for what I actually ordered. Otherwise, I'm returning them! I will update my review once resolved. Also, other reviews mentioned bent or defective clips. I went through the entire pack and only 2 of them are bent. Which makes sense base on the way they are packaged. All 25 clips are stuffed into a box that is about 4"x3"x1/2". So, maybe the seller or manufacturer should consider better packaging to prevent damage. Overall, if you have thick, coarse, or curly hair, these will probably work. But if you have fine straight hair, without the grip dots, forget it! UPDATE: Increased from 2 stars to 3 stars. After going through the entire pack and discarding about 7 or 8 of them due to not clipping tightly, or being bent beyond repair, the remaining clips do actually hold quite tightly even though they do not have grip dots. As stated above, my hair is very fine and very straight and these do hold. The main reason I only gave 3 stars instead of 4 stars (the 5th star is long gone due to the number of defective clips in the package) is that they are very tight and somewhat difficult to clip. Not a major issue for myself, but could be a potential issue if using these for a child.

Work great and snug hold

Who knew I needed these! My hair is growing out and I HATE having my hair wrap around my neck while I'm sleeping. I've had other snap clips before, but they never worked as good as these do. Wow! They hold my hair and nothing falls out. They are also very strong to open, but that's okay. Very happy with this purchase.

Really strong grip on the hair, doesn't easily move or un-clip, but easy to get in place and clip. Good size too, you can grab a fair bit or hair with it. I had similar before with rubber coating, but found the rubber coating rubbed off in flakes, that's thankfully not a problem with these. I wish the colour was more 'hair coloured' and not as brightly rose gold as these are, but I'm being brave about it as long as they keep my fine neck hairs up under my pony/bun. I would instantly purchase if they made some in assorted hair colours, as these are really sturdy and simple.

I love these hair clips. They definitely hold your hair in place instead of bobby pins. Revlon sells them but they're expensive and I think it comes six to a package. Revlon's is shiny and I think the ones here are dull and are better so it blends into the hair. This is a better deal. You won't regret purchasing these
