Does the lunchbox fit inside the actual bookbag set?

It fits easily inside a lunchbox. I was also able to fit a bento box, juice, and snacks inside of the lunchbox itself.

Does this fold down flat for storage? Buying it as a gift for my grandson and need to be able to pack it in my suitcase to take to him.

Yes,this kids lunch bag can be fold down flat for storage.

Does a water battle for kids fit in that pocket okay ??

Thank you for your attention to the school bus lunch bag, It can hold small drinks, about 50ml, It is a good idea that put the water battle cup into the main compartment, which is convenient with his lunch box and snacks in it, There will also be plenty of space.
