Having pet parrots for over 30 years ceramic coated non-stick pans are the only kind I use. Teflon coated non-stick pans can be fatal to pet birds. GreenPan by far make the best ceramic non-stick pans on the market. That being said no one should expect a ceramic coated pan to last a lifetime even GreenPan. If they are used daily two to three years at most will be how long they last before the non-stick coating starts to come off. If any manufacture make a claim theirs will last a lifetime you need to hold on to your receipt and the box it came in. Because you will be sending it back. I've purchased far more expensive ceramic coated pans that didn't even last three months before the ceramic coating started to come off. Save yourself some money and get the best, knowing eventually they will have to be replaced as with the case of all ceramic coated pans.

Sticks after a short while

The instructions say not to use cooking spray. I dont know if thats what caused this pan to lose its non-stick qualities by my pan lost it after the second omelet. Now its a glorified paper weight. I guess I should have read the instructions on a pan? and not used one of the most common cooking ingredients (if that was the cause)?

Cleans easily and heats so quickly on my induction cooktop. I only use the setting of 1 (out of 10) or the max of 2 while using this pan. I usually make breakfast in it. Cooking bacon and eggs is a favorite. I think that people who have cited problems may have been using too high of a heat setting, as I've had no problems with this pan and it has become my favorite cookware. Much faster heating than my old anodized aluminum pans and very easy to clean!

I love this pan. It is very well built, attractive, and is the best non-stick pan I’ve ever owned. Eggs, meats, potatoes, nothing sticks, no oil, or spray required. Clean-up is simply soap and water. I have many types of cook ware, including commercial grade, and for a go to daily “driver” I’ve found it in the GreenPan Chatham. I can’t speak highly enough of this gorgeous piece of cookware that makes cooking and clean-up easier.

The non-stick survived two years of almost daily use, then stopped being non-stick.
