Premium Fijian Waka Kava Root Powder 8 Oz

Just received my second order of this and wow! it’s even better than the first bag I bought last year. The mouth numbing effect is more pronounce, even into the 2nd wash, and the heady anxiolytic moderately euphoric effect is for sure stronger. It has a very relaxing vibe without being all that sedating. Compared to the last batch this one is more of a powder outta the bag with less woody bits in it. I use the blender method. 1 cup tap water, as hot as it will get outta the tap, mixed with a little bit of coconut oil, as some Kava compounds are fat soluble, and 3 tbsps of the Kava root. Then I blend it in high for 3-4 minutes and strain it into a mug using a very fine strainer for loose leaf teas. A fine cheese cloth or a Kava clothe bag would work even better. I oughta let it chill for a somewhat better flavor. Instead I just chug it real quick. Definitely not very good tasting, though you start to get more use to it and it becomes much more tolerable. Kava also has a reverse tolerance effect, so the first like 3-4 times you take sone you might not feel it that much, then by the 4th-5th session you’ll start to feel effects much stronger. This was definitely the case for me. So for the first few batches you might consider just using 2-3 tbsps then up it to like 3 after your tolerance has dropped. On a mostly empty stomach effects are felt with 20-30 mins and last a good 4-7 hrs. I typically do 3-4 washes per 3 tbsps using a 1/4 cup less water each time. Like I said, this batch has considerably stronger mouth numbing effects, (a tell tell sign of good Kava.) The anxiolytic, relaxing and euphoric effects are much stronger as well. Besides Duo Na Bio, I’ve only tried Yogi Kava stress relief tea and BulkSupplements Kava Extract. Both of those had a bit of an effect, (the Yogi tea more so,) but nowhere near as pronounce as this Fijian Waka. The BulkSupplements definitely was pretty low quality, barely had any mouth numbing effect and did very little for anxiety. Otherwise that company usually has very solid supplements. I particularly like their Passion Flower, Lemon Balm and Schisandra Extracts. Their L-Theanine is good quality as well. For the price, Dua Na Bilo seems like a real tough distributor to beat. Before long I do plan to try a few other brands, namely Bula House, which I hear is great, and Wakacon.

Partner and I tried it out for mild anxiety and sleep issues. We did our research first on how to properly prepare it, and used the recommended amount on the bag, about 2 tablespoons a person. I couldn't finish mine due to the taste--I knew it was going to be bad, but boy, kava is not a pleasant flavor. I only skipped a mouthful or two at the bottom, and while I thought I mayyy be feeling something, I couldn't tell 100% if it worked. My lips did go numb, though! My partner definitely felt some of the desired effects, but he also finished mine off. My partner has continued to experiment, and he's found using a quarter cup to be the best amount. That's 4 tablespoons, so double of what the bag recommends. Based on our research, I don't know if this is the best strength kava, since he needs double the amount for all of the traditional kava effects. He also is a chunky, muscley guy with a crazy metabolism, so that could be playing into it. At the end of the day, this stuff is legit, but I won't be using it again myself due to the taste. It's really been helping my partner out when he has an anxiety attack, but since he needs to use double the recommended amount, this bag is almost used up after maybe 5 servings? I'm repurchasing since we know what works for him with this brand, but we'll definitely be trying another brand too to see if another brand would be more potent.

Very good kava for the price. On a strength scale I'd rate it a 6-7 from 1-10. Tastes good. Takes an hour and a half to kick in. Very woody. I'd rate it the best on Amazon and even with Kavafied Kava which is very good too. Just ordered some more. As a tip in making strong kava, yeah we are told heat destroys the kavatones. Well, only if it's a very long heat. I just recently started using boiling water to make my kava. It's way more potent and the taste has a more creamy texture along with a malty flavor. It's easy. Take two cups of water and get it to where is just starting to boil. Take between a 1/2 cup on up of kava and add to strainer bag. Pour water into the strainer bag that's in a bowl. Stir it around for a few minutes with a spoon. Then add a cup of cold water and knead the bag. The kava will be much, much thicker, than normal. It will be much stronger than normal. I am drinking Dua Na Bilo right now with this method and it's hitting hard. I've used the blender with oils before and that is nowhere near this method in strength.

I bought this product because I was desperate to tranquilized the hamsters in my head. They seem to run on my mental hamster wheel all night. To top things off, I am trying to reduce and eventually eliminate the need for the Neurontin I take for peripheral neuropathy in my legs. I followed Kenneth's advice on preparation of the Kava. I did a 3TBS krunk dose (my tolerance to Neurontin is high, so took that into consideration). This stuff is totally disgusting, HOWEVER...It is absolutely AMAZING. I went to bed without taking the Neurontin. I did end up taking half of what I usually take in the middle of the night though, but it was HALF. I slept like a baby and had some incredible and vivid dreams - which I haven't had for weeks! Try as best you can to ignore the taste. Toss it back and have something handy to chase away the flavor. You'll be glad you did.

This was my first experience with Kava so I may not be the most reliable reviewer. However, was surprised at how much it tasted like literal dirt and was hard to put down (made my friend dry heave). Even after consuming one ounce each as it was our first time, the effects were null and we decided to not take anymore because of the taste. I know this doesn't reflect other users experiences, but I figured it was still worthwhile to put mine. However, the packaging and fineness of the Kava itself was not in question at all, and I'm guessing this would be a good buy for an experienced user.

I hate to say this because a part of me doesnt want this item to sell out. But if you know what KWK, GHK, CK, Or BKH stands for and you love their "Noble Kings"..... You will adore this stuff! $50 for a top shelf heady kava? Edit:: So we can saw without a doubt this "Appears" to be Noble based off the photo below. And I can not stress this enough people. I cant stand Kava getting 4 reviews because people who dont know how to ingest it properly and despise the taste (we all do) decide to slam a perfectly beautiful and respectful kava. DRINK THIS ON AN EMPTY STOMACH BEFORE A MEAL. 4 Hour fast, MINIMUM. And strain with a filter bag or knee high nylons (not a T Shirt, not enough sediment can get through). As for the taste use strawberries or some type of fruit as a "Chaser". Im sick of these new age, Jesus denying scrubs who attend their latest yoga class and read about kava in super liberal "Lets all worship the earth" magazines only to hate the taste, drink it on a full stomach so that it does nothing, only to write crap about this stuff. Do your homework people, this stuff is great.

Ok so if you like Kava this one actually worked better than most of the other ones I tried. I like the way Kava relaxes you and this one had a better taste than a few others. Don't get me wrong by that last statement, I don't like the taste at all but the feeling you get from it is wonderful for stress and anxiety. Also it is a good way to wind down at the end of the day and relax instead of drinking alcohol which does taste better in most cases but is not the greatest for ya. It numbs the mouth pretty good and also all the way down to your stomach. For sure the best that I have tried here on Amazon. Oh and I used the Aluball to make it happen.

So I’m a first time user, so I used a cheesecloth and regular full fat milk, and on the first day I felt like I smoked some light pot after about seven small coconut cups. Today is my second day and maaan I’m starting to really feel it after only three small cups. This stuff is strong in my opinion. If there’s anything stronger, I’ll be surprised because this is all knew to me. I will continue to buy from this seller, so long as the price is responsible. I also used the stuff left over from yesterday with a new batch to do a second rinse. It’s like pot and alcohol together in my opinion. I mean wow I’m like relaxed as f. Only side effect was itching all night after the effects wore off. Other than than holy crap I loooove this brand!

Interesting stuff.. Strange taste and texture.. Definitely a alternative to alcohol if you can stomach it
