Revgear Pro Spar Foam Rib and AB Guard

I bought this for use in boxing sparring, as I was consistently injuring my ribs which took me away from training until they healed. This guy does a good job of protecting the mid section and your ribs while still allowing for movement. It definitely hinders movement more than wearing nothing, but it does not have a huge affect and is worth it to have protection on the ribs. I went with the medium as a 6'3", 170lb skinny dude - fits well.

There aren't many products that I could find to protect ribs and abs. This one does protect both. I bought this to protect some incisions on my abdomen. It does a fair job on protecting me from anything but direct hits to the navel area. It is better than having no protection but don't expect the force from a strike to be distributed or diffused. You can't definitely tell that you have been hit but it hurts a lot less.It would be nice if Amazon actually put a size chart up size since they refer to one. I am 6'0" 200 pounds with a 36" waist. I called RevGear and they told me I would be good in an L or XL. I bought the XL for a "looser" fit and it fits fine. It stays in place and I feel like I have decent mobility and flexibility.What would it take for 5 stars? Adding a size chart and consistent pricing across all sizes. XX-Small is $48.65 and XL is $23.59. Why a Large ($45.55) costs almost twice as much as XL is beyond me. Check it out - pricing is all over the place.

Good for Krav Maga. Size medium for 34 waist.

Work great for body impact.

I have sensitive ribs, so I got this for sparring.So far I've used it twice.It provides good body protection and is light enough so that it does not affect your movement.

This does provide some shielding. A solid kick still isn't going to be pleasant, haha!Built into the shield are places for it to bend when wrapped around your middle. Personally I wish the center section were a little wider, but instead the sections for taking body hooks are the larger areas.Would be nice if there were an integrated loop for hanging it up, but there is not. I hang it by the gaps between the elastic straps.
