Works as described.

I bought this to install with my new Pioneer 1500NEX. It came with a usb cable but I wanted more of an OEM look. I installed this in the bottom of the center console of my car. Looks pretty OEM honestly.. I wish there was slightly longer cable on this. It worked but if I had any other vehicle I don't think this length would have worked out. I know they sell a 6' version but I believe with Android Auto and AppleCarplay they limit the length of the cable. So 6' would have been too long plus my cable. One thing I HOPE the manufacture does it make the end USB -C rather than the larger usb connector that you'd plug your cable into. Overall I tested with Android Auto and Apple Carplay on my headunit and both work great. It is rather hard putting the cable in and out of the connector so it will probably loosen over time. I'd rather that than it being loose honestly. So no stars taken off. One suggestion to the manufacture would be to allow the flip cover to be used while using their bracket. The way it is now you can't use the flip cover with their bracket because then the usb round part does not click into the mount.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I bought this to install in my truck along with a new head unit with Apple Carplay. The head unit came with a pre attached usb cable and i wanted the install to look like it was from the factory by installing a flush mounted usb port. There was a perfect spot for it near the head unit and all it took was drilling a hole large enough to fit it through. The rest of the install was cake and it works great and looks amazing

After installing a double din (wired CarPlay) radio, I needed a permanent solution to be able to access the rear mount USB port on the radio. I ordered this to replace a factory 12V cigarette lighter and was pleased with the fitment and quality of the product. This created a clean & easy USB port to access on the dash, instead of routing a single cable from behind the dash.

My 2003 Toyota Tundra has three cigarette lighter/power outlet locations, and I was able to swap one of them out for this unit. The fitment was great and it installed cleanly without looking out of place. I like that it gives me a more useful charging option than the original cigarette lighter socket. I’m actually planning to get another one and install it as a dedicated charging port that will work even when the truck is turned off, separate from my stereo setup. Overall, I’m happy with it. It fit well, looks clean, and is a nice upgrade for an older truck.

I love this thing. I have aftermarket stereos in both my vehicles. I installed this to clean my dash up otherwise I had a loose cable for my carplay. Make vehicle look factory and I have not had any issues with them at all.

Es un buen producto y funciona perfectamente. Sin embargo, al tener el cable fijo, hace que al montarlo en alguna tapa, sea un problema (si usas una extensión para desmontarlo fácilmente, tendrás mucho cable, de lo contrario, quedará justo y será difícil maniobrar).

Fit straight into a factory cigarette lighter hole.. (2014 Holden Colorado) and I to an aftermarket head unit. Spot on.
