This is a pretty cool camping water bottle. I have yet to try it on stream water, but tried it with tap water. You can definitely taste a difference even with just the tap water. The bottle is a good size, it comes with the filter. The filter is 2 parts and it easily comes off. Making it easy to clean. The bottle is just awesome. It comes with a clip, a paracord for fires and a compass on top of the cap!! This bottle is perfect for camping, long hikes and even runs. This thing is pretty freaking awesome! perfect pairing for those who love to do long hikes and camping.

I used this for travel in Mexico for three weeks. I ran tap water and bottled water thru it. It works great!

I'm not a HUGE outdoorsy type, but I did a 4 day outdoor adventure and I needed some gear. Found this gem during a quick and easy search, looked great and at a decent price. I was not disappointed as the water bottle did it's job to perfection over and over during our outdoor trip. The bottle is very durable and ergonomically, the cord very durable, and it easily took getting thrown around the campsite and dropped on the hiking trails. I filled it from a cool creeak and the water tasted fresh and crisp. I could tell the difference from tasting a handful of water from the creek vs. the water filtered thru the bottle! HIGHLY RECOMMEND this product, if you are a Bear Grylls reincarnation or a average Joe camper.

I bought to use when traveling to filter airport tap water. The cap leaks. The big issue is you can barely get water through it. Air leaks into the cap where the filter slides in so you get a mix of water (about 20%) and air (about 80%) when sucking on the straw. It's like it spits in your mouth. The water has a strange taste coming through the filter. For the price, it should work WAY better.

I bought this for a trip from USA to Bali and it leaks and lost suction before I've even arrived 😡

WOW!!! LIFEDEFENDER hit a home run with the LIFE DEFENDER ACTIVE Bottle!!!! What a great product that once again works like a dream!!! I stopped by a local creek, filled up my LIFE DEFENDER ACTIVE Bottle and drank away!! The water coming out of the bottle was good and no problems at all. I will have no reservations using this while hunting or in an emergency situation!! I also enjoy tap water in the Active bottle so I don't have to use plastic bottles and I think it improves the taste.
