Acme Butsea Fabric Upholstered Rocking Chair in Brown and Espresso

I can't believe it's been almost a year now that I've had this rocking chair and haven't already written a review of it! Well, here it is... I love this chair and it sits in my living room. My husband put it together, and it was fairly (?) easy, but we don't have an electric drill and had to manually screw in all the screws so it ended up creaking and squeaking at first. Not to worry, though, as I tightened up the screws manually and that stopped the creaking. I love how it rocks and how comfy the padding is (I sure do hope the padding will last!) It seems quite sturdy and I truly hope it lasts decades! I feel like it is reminiscent of the "craftsman" style furniture and I just LOVE LOVE LOVE the style! The padding is a kind of "faux" leather or suede, but whatever it is, I love it. Can't say enough good things about it, and I would totally buy this one again! I have been looking for a rocking chair for a while. My wife and I went to the local stores and we found either very little inventory or very expensive. We did not want a used one as found on some sites. I then went on line and checked out a lot of furniture web sites but when I went on Amazon I found this one at a great savings and the style looked like it would match what we have in our living room. I ordered it and when it came in my son put it together ( all parts came complete) . I must say , it is very sturdy and looks great. In addition the seat and back are padded. It looks like I made a wise choice .

Chair is a nice looking chair soft like a sued suppose to look like a worn leather but not as comfortable as I had hoped. Needed new rocker to rock my baby and this was the price range we had. Husband didn't want a glider bc of the look so we settled on this. If I had the choice to get it again I wouldn't just because of the purpose I needed it for. For rocking in leisurely it's fine. Looks good and comfy . It is a stiffer chair padded nice. Rocks more forward than back. This can be hard on the legs and when trying to rock a baby. The arms are a nice height for holding a child (higher). The back of it is nice and tall both my husband and I are tall people and it comes to middle of head. The middle piece hits him wrong on his back and doesnt sit nice at his shoulders but it is good for me. Husband complained that getting the screws in were tricky and he deals with equipment and tools every day.He did not need instructions to put together so it's pretty straight forward. Chair seems sturdy have only had it one night. Will try and update once we have had it longer.Update: I now have had this rocking chair for just over 2 years. It has been a great rocking chair. I just started hearing it creek a little but I'm sure if we tightened it that would fix it. Everything else I didn't like. About it before is no longer an issue

It looks like the chair it is more expensive than it actually is. Of course you have to assemble it correctly, but it is worth the effort.The hardest part was the first step – attaching the seat to the chair back with two screws and two dowels. It sounds easy, but on mine it wasn’t. It required precise alignment to get these parts to mesh together. It did take some patience and a fair amount of time, but eventually everything fit up properly.The only other problem that I had was attaching screw 9 from the armrest to the back of the chair. Mine did not have a starter hole for the screw in the chair back. I used a drill and a small bit to make a small starter hole. Then the screw went in perfectly.

The reviews are real. I was doubtful because the price is so great, but I used the feature that allows you to see the item in the room, and I liked the way the chair looked. It was very easy to assemble, and it is a heavy, solid wood, beautiful chair. It's wider than typical rocking chairs and very comfortable. I wish I had space for another one.

Comfortable rocker and would probably buy again. However, when installing the wood fell apart on the rocker due to a wood knot. Asked for replacement and they quickly responded and sent spare part. The issue is they sent the wrong part! Been using this chair for 2 years now and it's holding up : )

I loved this chair. Unfortunately, the person I bought it for did not. Her back and neck are completely fused and rodded and the back was too straight for her to use. She felt like she was going to fall forward. Her situation is unique. I found the chair to be sturdy and comfortable. I had to return it so I could buy my mom a new chair, but I was so sad to see it go. I wish I could have kept it AND bought her a new one.

Just what we wanted! Arrived a week sooner than expected with no damage and all pieces needed for assembly. Not hard to assemble--easiest with two people though. Sturdy and comfortable both of us (heights 6'4" and 5'2") This a large chair. Nice looking. Very pleased!!
