Oh, Say Can You Say? Hardcover – Picture Book, October 12, 1979

This is a great addition to anyone's home library. The kids are always interested to hear the silly words this book has to offer. My son will read or ask me to read this book at least once a week!

As a parent, this was one of my absolute favorite Dr. Suess book to read to my kids. I have given new copies to the kids who now have their own kids to read to.It's a challenge, and keeps the silly level very high. Best for kids who are learning to read, or even much older. Not great for little ones, just because they don't have the language skills to appreciate the difficulty these tongue-twisters present.

This is so fun to read aloud with the kiddo. We get so tongue tied it's fun to hear ourselves mess up. Our 6 year old loves to hear us read it.

Growing up I had a larger version of this book with a book jacket. That is what I was expecting, but it’s not what this was. This is a smaller version (think green eggs and ham sized) with no dust jacket. I wish I would have known, but I don’t think it’s the fault of the seller. I ordered a hardcover book and that’s what I received. I love these tongue twisters. They bring me back to my childhood and I’m excited to share them with my preschoolers and future children.

I grew up on Dr. Seuss, and in my older age, I am catching up on books he had written after I was grown up, and even getting some of my faves from way back then. This book is certainly one of his best. I love reading through these, and trying to actually get through them, reading them out-loud, with no goofs (NOT EASY). Yes!!! This book stays out in the open all the time, for a fun read-through, and a maybe late night tongue twister before bed?
