Lion Brand Homespun yarn is exactly right for many projects. It is relative thick/lofty, has a unique waviness and softness that is great for afghans, hats, and ponchos. It comes in a pretty good assortment of colors, too. It is not as good for complex designs due to its lack of crispness, but is suited well when softness is desired.

I purchased 8 skeins so that they would all be from the same dye lot for a project. I received 3 dye lots in this order. I can't visually see a difference, and it was a project for myself for at home but beware you may not get all from one dye lot.I have used this yarn for a lot of projects before so I knew what to expect. Its probably not a good yarn for very beginners but I know what to expect from it and I love the softness and fun colors.

I love Homespun yarn. It is soft and fun to work with. It was packaged wonderfully in two layers of plastic.

I did not like this yarn. I have been making blankets all year and the yarn came in a brown wrapper. It was soft and light in weight when made up. Wrapper changed to white and the yarn is not as soft and it does not work up the same. There is a 4 inch difference in the width and when used in the same blanket it looks and feels terrible. I have 2 more blankets to go and I will have to switch brands of yarn.

Just received today: Color of yarn grossly misrepresented, per photo, which has same color name and number but NOT even similar match to color advertised.

Got the pattern for the scarf on the Lion Brand website for free. My first act as a new crocheter will be to make my mom a blue scarf!

Great yarn. The texture is great and this is a beautiful color blue. I’ve used it for hats, scarfs, and an Afghan with good results. Warm soft.
