Q: does this help with amonia levels?

Thank you for the inquiry. Yes, PondPerfect does naturally reduce ammonia levels, as well as nitrite levels. In addition to inorganic consumption, the bacteria in PondPerfect also digest organic compounds like excess fish food, fish waste and decomposing leaves.

Q: Hello, how much would you use for a pond that's a 1/4 acre and approx 12ft deep in the middle? How often would it need to be treated? Thanks!

Not sure. That’s much bigger than mine. Mine is about 10 ft across 4-5 feet deep. I use about 1/4 cup every few days.

Thanks for the note Robert. Yes, our seller page lists 13 of the 32 oz size and 15 of the gallon size of Pond Perfect. It is a great product!

Q: Can this product be used in addition with a UV light?

I think the directions say not to use with a UV light because the light will kill the good bacteria. However, I use it with a UV light when things start to get a bit murky (and I'm sure my light is in good shape) and it clears the water right away.
