Its a great lock. Very strong and heavy. I dont think anyone will be cutting through this.

While kind of 'pricey' the thought of losing an item that's costly itself & a necessary form of transportation these days was a huge factor in selection of this security device. As the collapse of society seems more evident every day, the thought of some miscreant 'Coming-Up'... was another motivating factor in investing in a good locking device. This lock is a Beast. It is quite heavy, so those concerned about weight may want to reevaluate choices. In this case, weight wasn't so much an issue. Theft deturent WAS. Cable bike locks can easily be cut with simple cheap cable-cutters quickly. This lock? Not so much. Can it be cut? Yup. Quickly & quietly? Nope. Can it be picked? Yup. Quickly? Nope. Good thick high-test chain was only option. Not liking paint or frame damaged by intense rubbing and/or chain banging, a high-quality sheath was highly motivational in this selection. While the weight can be a drawback, another small issue is the lock cylinder can be a bit finicky at times. However this can be sort reassuring in of itself, by being rather difficult for a novice 'picker' lacking proper tools. Appearance was another deciding factor as it looks tough, rugged & matches bike styling. And... in a 'pinch'...it could make a hellva defensive weapon. 'Peace-of-Mind'... Who can put a price on that? When a beloved 'high-value' item has to be left unattended, it's nice to see that it's... "Right where I left it".

Great bike chain! I use it for my e‑bike and it’s solid, durable, and super easy to carry in my backpack. The protective sleeve is awesome too — no scratches on my paint. Definitely recommend this one.

Good quality as expected from Kryptonite, though the price seemed a bit steep i went for it anyway. The 4 ft length might come in handy, so no regrets..... but a few days later i saw the 3ft version at W4LM4RT for 19.99. So that extra foot of chain comes at a $25 extra cost. Consider if you need a 4ft chain, if 3ft will do, save some money. Notable that this chain is HEAVY. Makes sense of course but it's kindof a lot of weight to add to bicycle or ebike ride. Won't matter on a Harley. Due to weight, I decided to stick with a much lighter cable lock for most days. Only going to carry this monster chain where/when the extra security is needed.

Needed this for piece of mind when I used my Harley. Always worried when I rode my bike into city and had to leave it on street. I was always worried about coming back and not finding my motorcycle where I left it. Now I use this chain to secure the bike to any pole or other large object. I feel much better and finally relax when I go out. Nice , inexpensive way to have a relaxed day out riding and eating. lol.

This lock is very sturdy and have used mine for a couple of years now. I love the very thick chain and so far no one has messed with my E-bike.

Very heavy duty. Love that the lock is made out of metal and not plastic. the 4 ft length is great for looping through the frame and tire and then around whatever you are attaching it to.

I leave formerly expensive pedal bikes locked onto car racks overnight with this. Even if your analog pedal bike cost 10k this lock will now suffice in non core or college areas. No motor = no value on todays new or stolen market.

J ai acheté cet antivol pour ma trottinette speedway 5 . Elle passe sans problème dans les interstices en aluminium et assez longue juste comme il faut pour pouvoir l'attacher. Toujours satisfait de la marque kryptonite . Elle fait son petit poid mais ça reste raisonnable .

Sono circa 4 anni che uso catene a marchio Kryptonite e devo dire che sono molto soddisfatta. Vero che costano un po’ rispetto alle normali catene ma se come me utilizzi la bici come principale mezzo di locomozione e vivi in città dove il furto di bici è altissimo allora è un investimento vero e proprio. Da quando ho iniziato a utilizzarle non mi hanno più rubato bici. Per sicurezza uso sia questa, con cui lego la ruota davanti e il telaio a rastrelliere e simili, che quella a U con cui lego la ruota dietro al telaio, così non mi rubano neanche le ruote, cosa che capita spesso. Avendo usato entrambi i tipi di catena consiglio questa più lunga se si vuole avere spazio di manovra e versatilità nel legare la bici ma sconsiglio questa e consiglio quella a U per la durata: di solito su quella lunga dopo circa un paio d’anni potrebbe iniziare a rovinarsi il meccanismo interno che permette di bloccare la catena girando, soprattutto se esposta alle intemperie per lungo tempo, mi è successo con un paio di questo tipo. Sono comunque degli investimenti considerando che: - ogni catena costa quanto una o due bici rubate; - durano almeno 1-2 anni, di più a seconda di dove viene parcheggiata la bici; - senza questo tipo di catena la probabilità che ti rubino una o più bici in 12 mesi è molto alta. Testato sull’esperienza mia e di vari amici e colleghi. Consigliatissima

Excellent chain lock. Feels very heavy-duty and well made. The fabric sleeve protects my bike from scratches, and the integrated lock is convenient because there’s no separate padlock to carry. Gives me much more confidence when leaving my e-bike outside. Highly recommend.
