SC-1/KB2 Level 2 CE Approved Elbow/Hip/Knee/Shoulder Armour Insert (Pair)

Compared to standard armour, these are really comfy and conform to the shape of your knees. Unfortunately the bend creates a sort of 'nobbly' effect - totally worth it, but worth mentioning. I have also found that these tend to bend out of shape inside the pockets on my jeans if left for a few days, which has led to me folding my jeans flat when not in use.

Delivered much quicker than expected. These pads provide a very flexible and lighter option than a lot of the traditional pads on the market. I glued small Velcro pads on the front to fix them into my bike jeans. Worked a treat, the pads are more comfortable as well as providing a lower profile also making the jeans easier to put on compared to my old pads.

I had some of these in my other trousers and they're excelent. I was given some different ones from SBS when I bought new jeans but the free ones got warm then crumpled up down my leg. So I got more of these and the problem is gone. Level 2 and they soften-up nicely. I Haven't paid a high speed visit to the tarmac so I don't know if they fly or bounce well. And I cut the tip off, so they're able to be cut without much problem (they just don't like being cut and will bounce back and resist little scissors. Maybe hadge trimmers would've been better). I will continue using them in old and new kit.

I will have to state that I don't know what these are like in a crash. That's something I'd like to avoid so I'm basing the protection on the official testing which states that these are level 2 which is very good and probably far better than the stuff you get chucked in with an average set of leathers.I bought these - and a few more of the same - for my wife's new jacket and my leathers which needed a new set of armour based upon reviews and the fact that they are flexible and slim.And they really are flexible and thin meaning you have a bit more room and a bit more comfort overall.The construction allows the pad to fold and flex easily and form into any shape where it's used. You could also cut these down to suit the pocket of your gear if need be as well.Overall, I can't fault these. So much so, I've bought enough to replace most of the armour in my wife and my own motorcycle gear.
