There are quite a few gifts out there at the moment that feature a preserved rose as their centre-piece, but this one is in a different class to most of them. Like most the rose is absolutely beautiful and will last for a very long time as they are preserved using some special chemicals as I understand it. About the only thing you need to be aware of is not to leave them say on a window sill in direct sunlight as that can cause the colour of the rose to bleach over time. Some warn you of this, others sadly don't. But if you keep them away from direct sunlight they will indeed last for years.This particular example gets additional points though in my opinion as it not only had a beautiful rose, but the casing it was placed in was stunningly good quality. The cover is made of fairly substantial glass rather than plastic as I've seen on other offerings and the base is a nice solid wooden affair. This gives the whole thing a quality feel to it as it not only looks beautiful, but also feels very tactile and quite weighty for its size.The rose itself is the centre piece, but this is surrounded by and enhanced by some smaller grasses and other decorative foliage which makes the rose itself stand out even more than it would on it's own. The whole package is completed by two other features, firstly a nice ribbon carrying a message of love and secondly if you want to take advantage of it some LED lighting, this is enabled by placing batteries into a compartment in the base. Personally though I didn't think the lighting is necessary as it is beautiful as it is.I'm glad to say that my mother who I gave this to when I last visited her loved it, she thought it was truly beautiful and treasures it. On this basis alone I would recommend it, but the price is quite reasonable as well considering the quality of the gift and the packaging it comes in.

It is a beauty although it does not have any practical use. But ladies like these types of things.My dressing table looks a bit boring thats why I have been looking for something to cheer it up. This lighting glass dome with preserved rose is now sitting beautifully there and looks adorable. I opened the dome to check if the rose is a preseved real one but I decided not to touch it for fear of damaging it. There is a string of lights on bottom of the dome lighting up the beauty. The rose is a like a super star under the light.I light it up every night but I have also noticed when I touched the glass dome, my fingerprints left on the glass look more obvious under the light.

They won't die and they will continue to look good as long as they are displayed somewhere that is not too hot or has too bright a light and they won't be forgotten.This preserved rose comes in a nice glass dome, yes it is glass and not one of those cheap plastic domes that some other products have. It is well presented with a nice ribbon that contains the words "Just For You" written on it and comes in a good presentation box, which also is tied with a ribbon.I am recommending this preserved rose in a glass dome but not on it's own. On it's own it simply is not enough but with a nice bit of jewellery or some chocolates and wine and this product complements other gifts. It is a good quality and good value prosuct that will be appreciated by those receiving it.
