Works like a dream for my purpose
I have purchased the unit for off-road adventures, I wanted to run the fridge and didn’t want to go in an expensive dual car battery setup process, I wanted to be able to remove the extra weight anytime. On a week long trip it didn’t skip a beat, running fridge overnight took 15-20% off the battery, and quickly topped up while driving, some nights I had people charging their power banks and drone batteries, torches and head lights and it worked like a dream. The app works beautifully as well, helps to monitor consumption and power intake over Wi-Fi without needing to reach out for the device. Had for a month so far, time will tell if performance drops. I would love to try out their solar panel as well by the price is quiet high

Great app, great flexibility with charging options and speeds - not quite 720wh
Firstly lets get to the elephant in the room - the capacity. No matter what i did i could not achieve anywhere near the 720wh claimed by Ecoflow. Now i know there will be inverter losses and heat and fans from the unit losing power, guessing maybe as much as 20watts per hour from the internal fan as its quite a beast but at least its variable and quiet. On my test i ran a constant load of 220 watts via AC, achieving just shy of 600wh each time over several tests. Also ran the DC test and achieved 650wh (proving the inverter does indeed zap some of the power as expected). What i wasn't expecting was the unit to actually take about 875wh to charge the thing to full, so the losses are actually quite considerable. Even if i charged the River on the 110watt setting (rather than the super quick 600 watt setting) i would still take around 825wh to charge the unit from reported empty (basically everything shut down) to the full 100%.So you can see the loses are quite a decent chunk, why 4 star then you cry out?! Well, i charge with solar, have excess solar so the extra to input really doesn't bother me as its free. The output is a little disappointing % wise as i had expected something closer to the advertised mark - in saying that i have an Ecoflow Delta and that has pretty much the same losses when drawing power from the device so i guess thats just what you have to live with.If you can live with the fact its really only a 600wh device, unless maybe just using it for USB charging of devices and low voltage 12v socket powering, then you'll get on with it just fine.AC charging it absolutely flies at 600watt + whatever is be drawn from the device, so for example 220 watt load and then the 600 watt charge would see 820 watts actually being used as a pass through charging, which is great and just what i wanted it for.I have various other solar generators that actually don't add on the 'use' draw to add on power when it charges so sometimes i find myself limited to 250watt loads on some generators as they simply can't charge/pass through any more than that (mainly due to external power bricks, which i'm happy to report the river doesn't have). This is one fairly light unit that really packs a punch with xboost on i can run my travel kettle rated at 900watt, my 1000watt toaster and also the baby steriliser too, clever stuff. The app is amazing, realtime on wifi reporting and you can see the solar coming in and the variation in watts when clouds go over etc. in pretty much realtime. I won't go into what it can run and output capacity as its all in this listing and you are probably bored by now.One thing i wish Ecoflow would implement is the low state of charge AC push charging, basically i want my unit to run on solar most of the time (and run a load). Yes when the sun goes in and the unit drops low it relies on me checking the device to then work out i need to turn the AC charging on to top the unit up (when there isn't enough solar to keep up with the load). This is a pain in the bum overnight, and sometimes i've woken up where i've forgotten and the unit has turned off (when in reality with a little tweak in the app, it could've asked for AC power and maintained say a 30% charge until the morning when the sun came out.All tweaks i'm sure they will do, as the app updates regularly, the firmware has updated at least twice since i've had the unit and all this over the air so its a great long term piece of kit i think. Not sure on total battery capacity loss over lots of charges, but i will report back on this review should i have any serious degredation or any problems. Also looking out for a reduced price 'extra' battery for this as i think it would fit in nicely with my setup rather than just buying a separate River.

Probably a good unit.Ecoflow eu customer service mediocre. Power2go- uk based distn - far superior.
The ecoflow river pro seems an excellent product. To cut a long story short. Ecoflow EU in Czech republic shipped a defective unit to me. They did offer a replacement unit, but their return policy was poor. Luckily, I copied in their UK distributer, Power2go, who have been brilliant and made the whole experience painless. I was reticent about getting a replacement unit from Ecoflow Europe, as I feared for the level if customer service I would receive if there were any problems with the replacement init, so I requested a refund. Despite the unit having been sent back, with the tracking indicating its arrival 2 days ago, I have yet to be refunded, so more follow up and messing about with customer service looks likely.I am very tempted to get a replacement unit directly from Power2go, once I have received my refund - on the strength of their customer support, as the unit is just what I need as a fast charging portable power supply.Update 9-7-21. I have now been refunded. Although Power2go did not supply the unit, they facilitated every aspect of the return. I was underwhelmed by Ecoflow EU ‘s customer service, and hugely impressed by Power2go. I have since bought a unit from them. It is a every bit as good as I had hope it to be. An excellent solar power generator and highly recommended, in my opinion, get it directly from Power2go, as I ultimately have done.

Reduced my electricity bill! Super impressed
Running off 2 x 120 solar panels propped up at ground level, this battery powers my PC, TV, video recorder, CD/radio, lamps, slow cooker, oil radiator (test only), rechargeable vacuum cleaners, electric toothbrush, telephones and garden equipment. I am currently ( August) never lower than 65% battery power and it recharges even when raining in low morning light. I do not ever use mains/car to charge it. Brilliant fast recharge in full afternoon sun. Cloudy morning today and it is charging at 25 watts which more than compensates for PC use. May need to consider 2 x extra panels for winter use for faster charge? Can pick this up and move it around house if need be. System has been in daily use since purchased. Now considering buying greater output system to run fridge, washer, kettle and oven. Would love to go completely off grid if possible..but in rented house, so this style of system can move move with me.

Buy it! You'll not regret it!
I was torn between this and the Jackery because every van life youtuber has the Jackery. But! Omg!!! Im so glad I went for this. Its miles better. It charges so fast! And real life testing, after every evening of using camper lights, kettle, charging cameras, laptop, phone. It dropped down to around 80% then an hour drive, charging it with van it was back up to 100%.I love the app it comes with and info on screen gives reasurance and peace of mind. But it this way, because of the info and knowing how many hours left till empty and full, it means I can be smarter with it.Id take the 700w over the 1000w jackery because with this, I know what im doing because of the info and can be smart about it. Ive only got it down to 67% after heavy use.Another thing, the build quality is great! Can take a few falls im sure!Im a photographer and videographer by trade and this was what was recommended to me by some top London photographer digi technicians. They know their stuff!I still have to test it out with the fridge but... and this is a big but... if it doesnt work well then you can buy an adapter to double the power for the eco river pro... but!!! I dont think id buy it. Its £500 and has to be charged with main batter, big flaw. Id rather spend the extra £250 to buy another ecoflow or get a smaller one just for the fridge and lights. Saying that, it probibly works fine with the main one. Also, love the X boost, this is for stuff like the kettle. And tbh you'll need it for any kettle. Biggest flaw is that you need wifi to switch it on and off with the app... im sure they'll add a button on their next one.

Perfect fast charging solar generator for our motorhome.
After much research I bought the ecoflow river pro for several important reasons. Firstly the class leading charge time, the unit arrived with 30% battery and within 1hour it was fully charged. No rivals get close to this efficiency. 2nd reason was the x boost technology which can boost the 600w inverter up to 1800w appliance dependent. We have already used it to power an inverter microwave. 3rd reason was to power our motorhome whilst on sites without electric hookup with the 720wh lithium battery and the ability to charge via solar panels or 12v car socket whilst driving we are able to power our appliances whilst away and plug the van into the river pro via one of the AC outputs. Finally being able to control the river pro via the excellent app also makes this an excellent all round package!
