Have been wearing the generic/standard sling I received in the ER for my broken collarbone for 3 weeks. So much risk of an errant movement that will set healing back to zero. Got this one today and its a game changer. By locking down my bicep I can't accidently move my shoulder. Having my wrist held more securely does the same while allowing me to loosen it to eat or sleep. It's also more comfortable. Feel it will be more reliable for driving and working out. Ordering another one.

THIS BRACE WORKED GREAT TO KEEP ME FROM HURTING MYSELF MORE, AND BRING ME HOURS OF PROTECTED COMFORT ( WHILE WAITING A WEEK TO SEE AN ORTHOPEDIC DOCTOR) THIS WORKED EASIER AND BETTER THAN A CLOTH SLING. IT WORKED ESPECIALLY WELL AT NIGHT TO KEEP ME FROM HURTING MYSELF MORE. IT WAS REASONABLY PRICED, WITH A SPEEDY DELIVERY.

Measured as directed and it fits great. Comfortable and easier to wear than another one I had with adjustable placement sites for the arm and wrist bands.Only concern is elastic in back which makes it comfortable and fits well but also seems like it stretches and may not last long.Did notice it made my arm smell when I removed it after a busy day in and out of the heat outside. Might want to pad the straps with cloth of some type.

My husband had a stroke 3 years ago this May. He was able to come back from his paralyzed left side, except for his arm. He had tried all the silly slings and Gaither arm support that the doctors suggested, but they all put the pain on his shoulder. The moment he put this on it took the hanging weight off his left shoulder. He loves it, can even sleep in it. So, for anyone looking for a stroke victim with a paralyzed arm support this is it. I was seriously thinking of making one just like this. Thank you, Thank you!!!!

Needs to have softer materials next to the skin, very itchy. But better than an arm sling as all stress is off next and opposite shoulder than injured shoulder. Needs to be lined with something super soft and comfortable.

I just had a pacemaker installed and after surgery you can't raise your arm over your shoulder or behind your back without risk of tearing the wire out of your heart before it heals in place. This harness lets me work without worry of accidentally moving wrong and risking dangerous complications, and at night I can use the cuff in front to further restrict movement during sleep. It beats the hell out of a sling, and I tried a few of those. This does exactly what I need at a fair price point. Read the sizing chart, because the size I bought has minimal overlap and would not fit a much larger torso.

Velcro should always be sewn with the hook part AWAY from the body. This has the hooks facing your skin. The edging is also very coarse and irritating. After a few days wear the body strap velcro started curling. I used a cut off sock between my skin and the straps, because the whole thing is scratchy.This seemed to be the only immobilizer available. If you have another choice, don't pick this one.

Comfortable to wear and works well

If you are looking for a brace that actually keeps your shoulder still without pressure on your neck, this one is it. I am really pleased with it.
