Is this herb from Peru ?

It comes from the tropics. I actually bought more in Mazatlán, Mexico this January. It is a tree, not just the bark of it, the whole thing. You just put a few chips in water. It turns very bitter overnight, but it's supposedly a very good "medicine" for diabetes, and blood pressure issues.

I would like to make a tincture. Is this pure, raw, & unprocessed? I saw a review that said the quinine was boiled out. Thank you.
