what is the diameter?

approximately 4 7/8 to 5 inches

The '-22- in the model # means that the lid fits a 22 oz. Corning ware dish. The 'VPC' just means it is a 'Vented Plastic Cover' as opposed to a regular non-vented lid or cover for the Pyrex or Corning ware casserole dish of any kind. Hope that helps!! Texan15

Will these fit good cook 20 ounce soup cups?

These are made to fit the Corningware 20 oz Meal Mug

Our lids say f-22-vpc not fm-22-vpc what is the difference?

That is just the model number. Really no difference between the two.
