It’s dragon well which is a green flat leaf … oolong is black — jasmine has jasmine buds and is floral— gunpowder is a green but pellet like and much more bitter in my opinion. The dragonwell is milder but earthy.

How much caffeine is in the Dragon Well green tea?

In general, green tea, infused for 5 minutes, has @ 12 milligrams of caffeine (compare to 5 oz cup of drip coffee @ 60-180 mg).  Green tea releases about 3/4 of its caffeine within 5 minutes of steeping.  For more caffeine, use more leaves--not a longer time.  Green tea should be infused at 175 degrees, which is below boiling.   If you are serious about tea, I recommend a Breville (or equivalent) electric  kettle with 5 pre-set temperatures.  You can easily lose the delicacy of Dragon Well tea at too high a temperature or too long steeping.  The historical home of Dragon Well tea (Longjing cha) is West Lake in Zhejiang Province. Tian Hu Shan's (Heavenly Lake Mountain) tea is grown in Fujian Province, which is deservedly famous for a wide range of teas, particularly oolongs.  A decent reference is ALL THE TEA IN CHINA --the one by Kit Chow and Ione Kramer (Amazon has six books by this same title.)  My husband favors Tian Hu Shan's Yin Hao (silver coin) green tea for everyday drinking;  it's very reasonably priced for quality organic tea from Fujian.  By the way Dragon Well is very refreshing served cold (but not iced) in the summertime.
